Seems like all the Dens have been turning on each other like crazy following the brilliant 2024 election, both new guard and old guard alike.
And perhaps one of the oldest guards is none other than Bill Clinton, apparently still smarting over the fact that Hillary never became president.
After all, just imagine how much freedom he could have had if she had been safely ensconced in the White House.
Little wonder that Clinton not only fixates on 2016, but also 2008, which was rather evident during his recent appearance on CBS.
Per a report from Fox News, interviewer Tracy Smith inquired if the United States simply was not ready for a female president.
“Maybe,” Clinton drawled, offering a rather limited response.
“So, you think it has more to do with party than gender?” Smith pressed.
“No … Although I think it would probably be easier for a conservative Republican woman to win,” Clinton noted.
No kidding!
Though, much like perennially angry Pelosi, Clinton blamed “culture” for the Dems’ major loss … never mind raging inflation and increasing geopolitical instability, which may well turn into a veritable World War III before President Elect Trump takes office.
“I think all these cultural battles that we’re fighting make it harder in some ways for a woman to run,” Clinton mused.
Nice try, Clinton. Way to blame “culture,” or Americans themselves, rather than a party’s pitiable platform.
Perhaps one of the most hilarious moments of the entire interview occurred when Clinton effectively threw Obama under the bus, suggesting that Hillary, rather than the nation’s first DEI candidate, should have been chosen in 2008.
“I think in some ways we’ve moved to the right as a reaction to all the turmoil. And I think if Hillary had been nominated in 2008, she would’ve walked in, just like Obama did,” Clinton added.
“Would’ve just walked in?” Well, that’s a rather troubling way to portray a supposedly free election.
That said, it’s quite delicious that the nation’s first (and hopefully last) DEI president is apparently being blamed, at least indirectly, for blocking a woman from coming to power.
Perhaps just as hilariously, Clinton actually referenced Margaret Thatcher, of all people, as the reason why he believes “we’ll have a female president pretty soon.”
Rather ironic that Clinton referenced the famed “Iron Lady,” especially as she is the polar opposite of a joke like Comrade Kamala.
In fact, the two should never be compared in any context, especially as Thatcher, unlike Harris, was no puppet.
Indeed, she was vehemently opposed to every single ideology the libs promote today, as revealed in several of her most famous quotes.
“I came to office with one deliberate intent: to change Britain from a dependent to a self-reliant society – from a give-it-to-me, to a do-it-yourself nation. A get-up-and-go, instead of a sit-back-and-wait-for-it Britain,” Thatcher proclaimed.
Imagine that! And Comrade Kamala’s entire campaign, outside of bashing Trump, revolved around government giveaways.
The exact opposite of Thatcher.
“Marxists get up early in the morning to further their cause. We must get up even earlier to defend our freedom,” Thatcher added.
Well, Marxists in the United States can’t even be bothered to get out of bed at all half of the time, so they’ve apparently become even lazier and more inept with time.
“Popular capitalism, which is the economic expression of liberty, is proving a much more attractive means for diffusing power in our society. Socialists cry ‘Power to the people,’ and raise the clenched fist as they say it. We all know what they really mean – power over people, power to the State. To us Conservatives, popular capitalism means what it says: power through ownership to the man and woman in the street, given confidently with an open hand,” Thatcher asserted.
In other words, Thatcher would see right through the likes of Bernie Sanders, the multimillionaire public servant who literally had his honeymoon in the Soviet Union.
And, perhaps most importantly of all, Thatcher blasted the notion of everyone being exactly equal, especially when considering the variance in effort that individuals exert in various tasks.
“What are the lessons then that we’ve learned from the last thirty years? First, that the pursuit of equality itself is a mirage. What’s more desirable and more practicable than the pursuit of equality is the pursuit of equality of opportunity. And opportunity means nothing unless it includes the right to be unequal and the freedom to be different,” Thatcher declared.
One can only imagine what the Iron Lady would think of even more absurd “equity.”
Though Clinton is quite right – if a female candidate like Margaret Thatcher were to ever come along, then she may well “walk right in” … based on credible policies alone.
