Well, well, well.
Looks like the anti-Trump federal government is getting a major league comeuppance … from none other than one of its very own DEI employees.
As widely reported in multiple media outlets, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell fired Marn’i Washington for sending a memo to other FEMA staff and volunteers to “avoid homes advertising Trump,” while providing so-called assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton in Florida.
In other words, FEMA blatantly weaponized federal emergency resources, funded by all taxpayers, against individuals who dared to support Trump over Comrade Kamala.
Of course, FEMA is attempting to distance itself from the debacle.
“This employee has been terminated and we have referred the matter to the Office of Special Counsel,” Criswell crisply declared, suggesting that Washington acted in total isolation.
Now, Ms. Washington is apparently steaming mad, as detailed by the Daily Mail, and she’s letting the whole world know about it.
“I have information that proves FEMA is lying,” Washington insisted.
Ironically, she probably does.
“FEMA preaches avoidance first, and then de-escalation. This is not isolated. This is a colossal event of avoidance,” Washington added angrily, “not just in the state of Florida. You will find avoidance in the Carolinas.”
Well, that would make sense … for a federal agency clearly weaponized against Trump. Little wonder such blatant hostility spread from the Carolinas to Florida, and likely will spread to anywhere else, at least before Trump takes office.
“If you look at the record there is what you call a community trend… the political hostility that was encountered by my team, they just so happened to have the Trump campaign signage,” Washington added.
Uh huh. Easy excuse. Especially since “hostility” is quite relative. Heck, a person could dare to wear a pro-Israel shirt and apparently be considered “hostile.”
Either that, or they’ll surely be subject to attacks, just as several Jewish individuals were attacked by “antisemitic squads” in the Netherlands.
“If we are noticing on, for example, Mary Street, and we’re greeted with unwelcomed arms or people are coming out with guns blazing screaming at us, then that’s a street we need to avoid altogether,” Washington noted.
Oh, so, in other words, the behavior of a few justifies starving everyone else of resources?
Got it.
And quite a few were starved.
“Her edict prompted workers to avoid at least 20 homes with signage, indicating their support for the President-elect, leaving residents to fend for themselves without any federal aid, whistleblowers alleged,” the Daily Maildetailed.
In addition, Washington has rather predictably enlisted legal counsel, and she is allegedly “the only one being hung out to dry.”
Quite hilarious that scenario was predicted here all of a few days ago.
In an opinion piece for the New York Post, Isaac Schorr skewered FEMA for its blatant bias, quoting an additional employee who validated Washington’s remarks.
“Another former FEMA employee also told The Post that the processes that led to Washington’s discriminatory action are systemic – and that the bias against Trump supporters dated back years, sometimes justified as part of an effort to serve ‘marginalized’ communities first,” Schorr detailed.
Yep. Good old fashioned “equity” in action. Never mind the fact that everyone – aside from the superrich – is struggling under the Biden-Harris regime.
“You can cite any empirical or philosophical reason that you want to justify this allegedly pervasive practice, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s not just negligent or wrong – it’s evil,” Schorr continued.
Sounds like a great way to describe most Democrat policies.
“Imagine if it came out that FEMA had determined that homes inhabited by blacks, or Asians, or Muslims, or Jews were more likely to be ‘hostile,’ and should therefore be summarily deprived of aid and support in disaster zones. That would be unthinkable.
… Yet at FEMA, there are allegedly those who would rule out lending a hand to roughly half the country,” Schorr continued.
No surprise there. Especially if they’ve been ordered by their “higher ups” (i.e., Biden), who in turn has been ordered by his “higher up” (i.e., Soros, or someone just like him).
“Trump’s resounding victory has brought with it much gnashing of teeth over what he might do to his political opponents. It doesn’t take a psychologist to diagnose such a conspicuous case of projection,” Schorr continued.
“A conspicuous case of projection.” Love it.
In all of five words, he summed up both Biden and Harris’s campaigns in a nutshell.
