“We’re not going to have anything more to say tonight.”
So declared John Podesta in 2016 to a horde of deeply disappointed Hillary Clinton supporters at the Javits Center in New York City, following Trump’s then-shocking win in 2016.
Following this remark, Podesta reportedly sent Clinton’s most ardent supporters home, while Clinton herself declined to address the crowd.
“Although Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta told disappointed supporters early Wednesday morning that the campaign is not ready to comment on the results of the race because votes in several states are currently too close to call, CNN and ABC News reported about a half hour later that Clinton had called Republican Donald Trump to concede,” KFOX TV reported.
At that point in time, Clinton’s refusal to see her supporters was resoundingly viewed as fairly classless, especially as they remained awake well into the night in an effort to support the aspiring presidential candidate.
However, while Clinton dodged her supporters, she did not dodge basic political courtesy, which was evident in none other than Trump’s remarks shortly thereafter.
“I just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us, it’s about us, on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign … We owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country,” Trump remarked at the time.
Indeed, despite all her hand wringing in the years after 2016, Clinton did call for her supporters give Trump “an open mind and the chance to lead.”
So, in other words, while Clinton shafted her supporters, she at least followed basic political protocols in terms of formal concessions.
The Dems’ response eight years later?
Quite a bit more classless, to put it mildly.
Then again, is that any surprise, given the fact that Comrade Kamala’s own father referred to her shameless dishonesty, as well as her political career as a whole, as a “travesty?”
Frankly, it’s quite telling when one’s own father comes out against them in a very public way.
Which further demonstrates Harris’s extreme ineptitude as a politician, period.
Never mind that of Walz, whose own family shredded his ultra-liberal/Marxist policies.
Naturally, neither Harris nor Walz apparently demonstrate much class, which was quite evident when she abruptly sent her supporters home, much as Clinton did.
“Vice President Kamala Harris underperformed across the country, falling behind in several swing states that President Joe Biden had won. She sent her supporters home early this morning without addressing the crowd,” NBC News reported.
Well, that’s nice.
What a way to treat the supporters who were crazy enough to support her in the first place. So much for the “politics of joy” … never mind the fact that exactly no one feels “joy” upon viewing their grocery store bill these days.
Unless, of course, they’re living on the taxpayers’ dime, like all the champagne socialist/Marxist Dems have a habit of doing.
However, Harris not only declined to address the crowd, but she has also declined to concede the election, despite the glaring, quantitative “facts” to the contrary.
And that’s precisely when she managed to succeed in making none other than Clinton look like a class act.
Indeed, Harris campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond has made it rather clear that he
“You won’t hear from the vice president tonight … We will continue overnight to fight to make sure that every vote is counted, that every voice has spoken,” Richmond declared.
Right, Richmond right.
Nice try, considering that Trump scored an absolute blowout win against Harris … even more so than he did against Clinton.
Notably, unliked Clinton, Harris has not called and conceded the election to Trump … despite massively losing in terms of both the electoral college and popular vote.
And, like the savvy businessman/president that he is, Trump did not wait around for a concession from Comrade Kamala, whose puppetmasters will potentially try (and, in all likelihood fail) to pull every trick in the book for her to contest the election.
Which is why Trump has already addressed the United States, without bothering to wait for Comrade Kamala to overcome her historic tantrum.
“I would like to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president,” Trump proclaimed.
At last, the words that all pro-American individuals have been waiting for …
Not to mention the rest of the world, at least the world that values freedom and real representative governance.
