Mere days ago, the Los Angeles Times stunned the nation by failing to endorse Comrade Kamala for the presidency … especially as the paper has reliably endorsed the Democrat candidate every single election since 2008.
However, the paper’s billionaire owner apparently does not care for the idea of a Harris presidency, at least not enough to vote in favor of it.
Ironic that Los Angeles is a long-time sanctuary city.
Now, another billionaire has apparently opted out of endorsing Harris.
The bonus in that scenario is that this billionaire also owns media himself.
According to a report at CNN, none other than woke billionaire Jeff Bezos has apparently enraged staff at the Washington Post, all for declining to endorse Comrade Kamala.
And all the little snowflakes at CNN have gone completely insane over this decision.
“One day after The Washington Post announced it would not endorse a presidential candidate in this year’s election or in the future, its billionaire owner remains silent as the newspaper’s staff are in turmoil,” CNN noted.
Well, of course the staff is in turmoil. That’s usually what happens when Marxist little militants don’t get their way.
Meanwhile, Bezos has remained silent while his staff “resigns” in protest.
Though, knowing Bezos, he will probably just replace them all with AI anyway … which may well do a better job “reporting” than they do.
“Jeff Bezos has so far declined to comment on the situation, even as his own paper’s journalists reported that it was Bezos who ultimately spiked the planned endorsement. A source with knowledge told CNN on Friday that an endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris had been drafted before it was squashed …
In the last 24 hours, at least one editor has resigned, and high-profile Post staffers have publicly expressed their dismay as many in the paper’s Opinion section are furious over how the situation was handled,” CNN added.
Well, too bad.
It is a business after all, snowflakes, and it is not obligated to serve as a propaganda machine if it doesn’t want to … though that would probably change under Comrade Kamala.
Will Lewis, who serves as the Post publisher, also defended Bezos, adding that readers should be able “to make up their own minds.”
“Reporting around the role of The Washington Post owner and the decision not to publish a presidential endorsement has been inaccurate. He was not sent, did not read and did not opine on any draft. As Publisher, I do not believe in presidential endorsements. We are an independent newspaper and should support our readers’ ability to make up their own minds,” Lewis asserted.
Imagine that … leftist readers actually making up their own mind.
Assuming that any mind is available to make up at this point, that is. Decades of CNN brainwashing may cause irreversible damage.
One such leftist includes Marty Baron, a former Post executive editor, who proceeded to rant and rave against Bezos for making his own choices.
“To declare a moment of high principle, only 11 days before the election that is just highly suspect that is just not to be believed that this was a matter of principle at this point,” Baron raged.
Uh huh.
Well, the Washington Post did suppress the very accurate story regarding the Bidens’ suspect overseas dealings, and no one threw a fit about that.
“Bezos has other commercial interests, a big stake and Amazon, he has a space company called Blue Origin. Trump has threatened to pursue his political enemies, and he rewards his friends and he punishes his perceived political and think there’s no other explanation for what’s happening right now,” Baron continued to rant.
Either that, or Bezos doesn’t want to be openly aligned with someone openly advocating for World War III and endless illegals migrating to the US.
Perhaps Bezos also doesn’t want to live in a third world country either, which Comrade Kamala is clearly gunning for.
Baron also dismissed Lewis’s remarks, actually daring to suggest that the Washington Post should tell readers who to vote for.
“If their philosophy is readers can make up their own minds on the big issues that they face in this democracy, then don’t run any editorials … But the fact is they only decided not to run an editorial in this one instance 11 days before the election,” Baron ranted, mentioning “11 days” yet again.
So, in other words, Baron thinks that the Post should order everyone to vote for Comrade Kamala, and Bezos threw a wrench in that plan.
For once, Bezos made the right political decision.
