In case anyone is wondering why the Dems seem rather reluctant to place reasonable restrictions on Big Tech’s abuse of personal data, look no further than their own abuse of personal data.
As reported by Blaze Media, multiple students at Arizona State University (ASU) received a rather on the nose text message from Comrade Kamala’s campaign.
As in nearly the entire campus … and that personal data only could have been purchased by an equally unscrupulous lapdog working within the university system.
“Tim Walz and I are the underdogs in this election … We need your support to win,” the text brayed.
“Underdogs,” huh? Since when did the mainstream media ever heavily edit the interview of a so-called “underdog,” as CBS recently did with Comrade Kamala’s one and only “big girl” interview.
Which was, rather predictably, a trainwreck.
“Your vote is your voice and your power … You must not let anybody take your power from you,” the Soros-sponsored text added.
Sure, it is.
Needless to say, the Dems themselves are thwarting power through their routine disregard of law in its little text messaging campaign.
Such as the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which regulates the information that students’ families may receive about their own children, especially once the students are considered legal adults.
Naturally, the ASU College Republicans are incensed.
“This is a direct violation on many fronts such as violation of privacy laws (FERPA), breach of institutional policies, breach of confidentiality and damage to trust,” the student organization wrote to ASU administrators.
Guessing the response from the administration will be nothing but crickets.
Though at least the conservative college students can spread the word via social media.
“150,000+ Arizona college students, alumni, and emergency contacts had their data HANDED to the Kamala Harris campaign including some ALUMNI and EMERGENCY CONTACTS of students!” the ASU College Republicans wrote on X.
Scary. Yet another sign of the (Soros-manipulated) times.
Republican State Senator Jake Hoffman was also aghast by Comrade Kamala’s targeted texting campaign, which apparently represents yet another flagrant violation of federal law.
“It is ILLEGAL for political campaigns to access personally identifiable information (PII) of public university students within [Arizona],” Hoffman declared.
So, in other words, political campaigns are mimicking Big Tech. Shocking!
“This is a MAJOR security breach!” Hoffman continued, adding that the breach clearly warranted “a full [state] Senate investigation immediately.”
Unlikely to happen, especially with all the misinformation being spewed by the liberals now.
“I know Republicans in [Arizona] are ages behind when it comes to modern campaigning, but their ignorance doesn’t excuse this absolute lie that a text message like this, asking students to register to vote, is 1) election interference and 2) somehow against the law …
Instead of doing the work themselves to reach potential voters, the Trump world is … playing victim so if they lose, they can … spread conspiracy theories that claim the election was stolen,” Democratic strategist Tony Cani sneered.
Uh huh. Funny how so many things – like Hunter’s laptop, for instance – are so-called “conspiracy theories” … until they aren’t.
Which is exactly why the ASU Republicans are exerting their rights for a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, specifically to uncover exactly what Comrade Kamala’s handlers did to obtain countless students’ personal data.
“The student body is exploring their legal rights and positioning to hold the university accountable,” the student group declared.
More than one individual online also was rightfully aghast by the latest nonsense pulled by the Harris campaign, showing what a slippery slope electoral transparency has become.
“So the schools sell the information to anyone? I don’t think that is right, what are the restrictions? Either way, it is unethical at best,” one commenter mused.
And illegal at worst … especially when zero consequences will arise.
