“The city is using every tool at its disposal to implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to help recently-arrived asylum seekers residing in shelters take the next steps in their journey.”
So declared a Department of Social Services (DSS) spokesperson to Fox News Digital regarding the ongoing illegal migrant crisis in New York City.
Unfortuantely, as also reported by Fox News Digital, the “tools” at the unfortunate disposal of New York City officials include – you guessed it – more cash handouts.
After handing out $1,000-$1,500+ monthly to migrants for “culturally relevant” food items in bodegas, the sanctuary city has now decided it’s a great idea to maximize cash handouts for presumably “culturally relevant” housing.
It’s safe to say that $4,000 cash handouts are rather ridiculous … not to mention downright criminal, considering that the bankrupt sanctuary city is now hitting all American taxpayers for the scam.
Given that this particular scam is using federal funds … Which every working, taxpaying American pays.
So now the entire nation is on the hook for New York City’s detestable policies regarding illegal migrants.
Allegedly, all the illegal migrants will use 100% of that funding for housing … though they were also allegedly supposed to use monthly cash handouts for food items only in bodegas.
As the city didn’t bother to monitor those handouts, however, it would not be surprising at all if illegals obtained other items from bodegas, especially considering the shady substances and services they insist upon selling in the streets.
Despite widespread illegal migrant crime, with upwards of 75 percent of all new bookings in Midtown Manhattan consisting of illegals, New York City apparently thinks it’s a swell idea to hand out a whopping $4,000 in cash, trusting that the illegal migrant recipients will use to cash to move out of shelters and into so-called “permanent” housing.
“Since December, DSS has been working with a few not-for-profit providers operating emergency sites to pilot a new effort to reduce barriers to obtaining housing by helping asylum-seeking families who have identified permanent housing with the upfront cost of moving into their new home,” the DDS continued.
Oh, is that so? How nice that illegal migrants are not only permitted to stay in the nation, but also receive cash handouts to cover the “upfront cost” of moving into a new home … in one of the most elitist, expensive cities on the planet.
How $4,000 cash handouts are either “innovative” or “cost-effective” remains a giant mystery … and how $4,000 is going to cover the “upfront cost” of any private, permanent housing in New York City is an equally giant mystery.
Especially when considering how much cash the city has blown so far.
“150 households have benefitted from this pilot over the last seven months, and we look forward to supporting more households as we assess the success of the pilot and feasibility of scaling up and expanding access to this form of assistance,” the DSS continued.
So, in other words, $600,000 in additional cash handouts have already been blown on illegals. That’s nice.
And, furthermore, if illegals are moving out of shelters, it seems that all the city is doing is making way for more illegals to come in … starting in shelters, and “graduating” with cash handouts.
Rather deplorable, albeit deeply effective, scheme for destabilizing the nation.
Of course, the DSS insisted that “no city funding” is being used, as even New Yorkers, who bizarrely insist on voting Democrat no matter way, are apparently becoming irritated by the rise in crime.
Ironically failing to connect their terrible voting habits to the very environment in which they live.
However, even if city funds supposedly aren’t being used, the funds for the cash handouts are being funneled through the NYC Department of Homeless Services … which in turn is supported through “significant federal funding.”
So that means everyone who pays federal tax is effectively paying for cash handouts for illegals in New York City … and once the federal money monster starts for sanctuary cities, it definitely won’t quit.
