Just when you thought that the state of New York couldn’t become any more corrupt … the longstanding sanctuary state manages to outdo itself, once again, with corruption.
Indeed, none other than installed New York Governor Kathy Hochul has been busted in a rather serious scandal with Chinese spies directly linked to the Chinese Communist Party.
Otherwise known as one of the longstanding “business partners” of the Biden family.
Hochul, however, perhaps best known as being yet another unelected leader within the Democrat party, is embroiled in an even more brazen scandal, considering that she directly employed a Chinese spy.
That’s right: Directly employed.
Linda Sun apparently worked as Hochul’s deputy chief of staff for several years, a tenure that proved to be richly profitable to Ms. Sun.
Indeed, she and her husband, Chris Hu, amassed quite the personal property portfolio, including real estate in Hawaii and New York totaling well over $6M.
Not to mention a collection of cars, including a 2024 Ferrari.
No inflation concerns for Chinese spies in Biden’s America, it would appear.
Especially when they are carrying out important tasks for the Chinese government, such as blocking representatives from Taiwan and adjusting the wording for any and all issues that might relate to the CCP in any fashion.
Apparently, the Chinese spies became a tad too obvious, as none other than the FBI has decided to raid their residence, per a report from the Daily Mail.
“The FBI has arrested the former deputy chief of staff of New York Governor Kathy Hochul and her husband following a raid at their home … She is accused of enriching herself and her family by acting as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese Communist Party, federal prosecutors revealed in a sprawling indictment …
Sun and her husband are also charged with laundering the proceeds of their illegal activities. Hu is also charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud and misuse of means of identification,” the Daily Mail reported.
Ah. In other words, taking a page out of Hunter’s book. Or perhaps they took a page out of his?
US Attorney Breon Peace highlighted the gravity of the situation, noting that Sun was the beneficiary of “millions of dollars” for her pro-Communist work.
“As alleged, while appearing to serve the people of New York as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, the defendant and her husband actually worked to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP …
The illicit scheme enriched the defendant’s family to the tune of millions of dollars. Our Office will act decisively to prosecute those who serve as undisclosed agents of a foreign government,” Pearce intoned.
Seems like quite a few are being enriched “to the tune of millions of dollars” whenever the Dems are in charge.
Of course, Hochul ostensibly did not know about Sun’s links to the CCP, but what would possess her to hire a foreign national to handle such sensitive state matters in the first place?
Even more hilariously, Hochul apparently thought it was a great idea to hire a CCP-linked spy during the COVID pandemic … as Sun was hired in 2021.
The same year, not so coincidentally, that she purchased a multimillion-dollar home in New York.
Little wonder that the Dems were so intent on squashing the “lab leak” theory … which, as it turns out, has a lot more support than the mainstream media would have first had Americans believe.
After all, they had its major beneficiaries working alongside them the entire time.
Indeed, Ms. Sun didn’t just work for Hochul … her employment in the government in New York spans back for at least fifteen years.
Including a stint as a “Chief Diversity Officer” for disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who lost his position to Hochul.
Who apparently kept the same spy on the payroll.
Well done, Dems.
