As enough time passes, eventually all rot comes to the surface.
In particular rot that revolves around the longstanding collusion between Big Tech and the Democrats.
Indeed, the Biden-Harris regime became notorious for its information crackdown during COVID, all but demanding for Big Tech to censor anything and everything that Emperor Fauci disagreed with … the only problem being, of course, that Fauci would say one thing in private and another thing in public.
Then again, as Ms. Kamala Harris is perhaps one of the greatest flip-floppers of all time, it’s not exactly a surprise that flip-flopping Fauci would hardly raise an eyebrow.
Which is precisely why the Biden-Harris White House apparently demanded for Big Tech to effectively censor everything regarding COVID … including obvious humor and satire.
No room for laughing in an increasingly totalitarian dystopia, after all.
“When confronted with a deadly pandemic, this Administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health and safety. Our position has been clear and consistent: we believe tech companies and other private actors should take into account the effects their actions have on the American people, while making independent choices about the information they present,” the White House sniffed.
Is that so?
Not according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who has surprisingly exposed the Biden-Harris administration’s propensity for mass censorship.
In a letter to the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg astoundingly reveals the degree to which his social media company was pressured to follow the White House narrative on the COVID pandemic.
With literally no room for laughing.
“In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree,” Zuckerberg noted.
So, the White House expressed “frustration” when Zuckerberg was understandably reluctant to censor “humor and satire.”
Rather frightening and Orwellian … not to mention a major league threat to the democracy that the Dems sure love to ramble on about.
“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it,” Zuckerberg continued.
And, thankfully, it’s better late than never that Zuckerberg is coming out with these revelations now.
“I feel strongly that we should not compromise our content standards due to pressure from any Administration in either direction – and we’re ready to push back if something like this happens again,” Zuckerberg proclaimed.
Better watch out. Remarks like that are exactly what result in suspect “warrants” issued for the arrest of Big Tech titans, as the Telegram CEO has discovered after landing in France.
Zuckerberg even admitted that Facebook was wrong when it censored stories regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop, an especially shocking admission.
“It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” Zuckerberg proclaimed.
And, unlike other politicians, Zuckerberg apparently has a plan for ensuring that such demotions do not occur again.
“We’ve changed our policies and processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again – for instance, we no longer temporarily demote things in the U.S. while waiting for fact-checkers,” Zuckerberg continued.
A shame that such a policy was not in place during the 2020 election cycle.
Though at least it appears Facebook won’t be censoring any other stories that emerge during the current election cycle.
Zuckerberg also announced that he would not be donating any funds to any political causes, a further shift from his once avowed dedication to Democrats.
Previously, Zuckerberg donated funds to varied organizations dedicated to enhancing “election infrastructure,” although these organizations happened to skew heavily to the left.
However, he’s decided to opt out of all political donations this particular election cycle, making it rather clear that he’s hardly “all in” on wannabe Queen Kamala.
“My goal is to be neutral and not play a role one way or another – or to even appear to be playing a role. So, I don’t plan on making a similar contribution this cycle,” Zuckerberg asserted.
So much for a ringing endorsement of Harris.
More like a cautionary remark on how significantly the electoral process has been decimated under the Harris-Biden regime.
After all, when even Zuckerberg is effectively confessing the Dems’ efforts to undermine democracy, specifically in terms of freedom of thought and expression, one can only imagine how far they’re going behind the scenes to install their coronated candidate.
One can only hope that the combined efforts of Musk, Zuckerberg, and others will be more than ample to overcome whatever devious antics the Dems nave in store for November.
