“ON MONDAY NIGHT I’LL BE DOING A MAJOR INTERVIEW WITH ELON MUSK — Details to follow!”
So announced Trump proudly on social media with regards to his upcoming interview with none other than Elon Musk, one of the most highly profiled, followed people in the world.
In other words, an interview with Musk would obviously smash any ratings on mainstream television into oblivion, not to mention provide an opportunity for Trump and Musk to engage in a no holds barred discussion, freed from the fetters of CNN.
Now that’s one way to launch a major counterattack against the ever-bungling Dems.
Not to mention demonstrate a major way to move forward, considering that Trump and Musk were previously at odds, as recently as 2022.
Just consider what Musk said back then.
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Musk observed.
How times have changed.
As sensible individuals, they have long since set aside their differences for the greater good.
A lesson that the Dems, the woke, and all their ilk have yet to learn.
“The relationship between Musk, the world’s wealthiest person, and Trump, the Republican nominee for president, is as volatile as the characters themselves. Over the years, they’ve made fun of each other, talked down to one another and taken opposite sides on key issues. But of late, they’ve emerged as parallel heroes to the far right, a group that includes a healthy dose of crypto enthusiasts, and are united in a single quest: defeating Democrats in 2024,” CNBC reported.
And that defeat cannot come soon enough, considering the hordes of illegals that continue to flood the border … and, increasingly, American airports, thanks to Biden’s “app” for illegals.
Cayce Myers, a Professor of Communication Virginia Tech School of Communication, notes that such an interview would underscore the power that Musk may well endow Trump’s campaign with, especially given his enormous social media platform that liberals tried – and failed – to effectively shut down.
“What Musk brings to Trump in the interview is a platform audience that is enormous. And so what you have with Musk – who’s one of the most followed people on Twitter – if he does this interview and posts it on X, it would be a lot of views and it’s going to outperform typical broadcast or cable interviews,” Myers remarked.
Seriously. Especially because the interview with Musk on X is astonishingly more genuine than Biden’s scripted interviews with pre-selected interviewers.
And Trump has been happy to sing Musk’s praises ever since receiving his endorsement.
Just consider his cheerful chatter at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville on July 27.
“I love Elon. He’s great. He endorsed me and great endorsement and everything else, but not everybody has to have an electric car,” Trump gushed.
Trump also shows that it is possible to disagree while still getting along, another lesson the Dems have yet to learn.
Previously, Trump informed Joe Kernen at CNBC that he and Musk do not see perfectly eye to eye on electric vehicles, and, contrary to cancel-happy liberals’ opinions, that’s perfectly ok.
“We obviously have opposing views on a minor subject called electric cars. I’m all for electric cars, but you have to have all of the alternatives … [EVs] cost too much and they’re all going to be made in China,” Trump declared.
Fair points.
Though a Trump presidency would likely help Musk’s company anyway, given that Trump won’t accept $5,000 Chinese EVs made with repurposed Tesla technology.
Former Ford CEO Mark Fields has made this effective observation, noting that Musk is protecting his own interests through protecting Trump’s presidential prospects.
“[Musk] knows that he may take a harder stance against China, and that may help them in the U.S., because that’s one of their biggest and most profitable markets,” Fields mused.
Indeed. And while Biden has made a presidential career out of “America Last,” he has also managed to alienate some of the Dems’ longest-term benefactors, including the individuals who produce the EVS Dems are so obsessed with.
Much to the glee of Trump, who is currently awaiting Kamala Harris’s dumpster fire of an attempt to debate him.
