When Biden declared that he’d be laser-focused on doing as much as possible over the next six months, his handlers weren’t kidding.
First, he’s already taken aim at the Supreme Court, making it abundantly clear that he is displeased with its political composition and apparent decisions.
Second, he’s throwing all his weight behind cackling Kamala, who is no doubt delighted to have the easiest path, ever, paved to the White House for her … which is rather typical of the DEI movement.
Now, the Biden administration apparently thinks it’s a great idea to finalize a plea deal with the 9/11 masterminds.
That’s right: A plea deal with 9/11 masterminds.
Including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who has long been notorious for his abject hatred of the United States and utter brutality in planning the 9/11 massacre.
“The alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11 terror attacks and two other terrorists being held on Guantánamo Bay will be spared the death penalty under a deal with prosecutors, it was revealed Wednesday. The announcement came as a bitter pill to swallow for victims’ families who have anxiously awaited the conclusion of the case for nearly 24 years …
A spokesperson for the Office of Military Commissions (OMC), which is prosecuting the case, confirmed it had entered into pre-trial agreements with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed – the accused principal architect of the al Qaeda attacks — and two alleged co-conspirators, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin Attash and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, all of whom have been held at the US military prison on the coast of Cuba since 2003,” the New York Post reported.
“In exchange for removal of the death penalty as a possible punishment, these three Accused have agreed to plead guilty to all of the charged offenses, including the murder of the 2,976 people listed in the charge sheet,” Rear Adm. Aaron C. Rugh, chief prosecutor for the OMC, added.
Well, that’s nice. The families of 9/11 victims must be so thrilled with these closed-door proceedings. How … “democratic.”
And, of course, those negotiations began in 2022, well into Biden’s presidency.
Looks like the Ukraine War was a great distraction from that one as well.
Rather sadly ironic that transnational terrorists continue to enjoy the benefits of a justice system in a nation they claim to hate.
And they’ll enjoy taxpayer-funded housing and meals for life, along with routine interactions with their families and other associates.
All the activities that their victims can no longer do, in other words.
Naturally, JD Vance was rather aghast at the bargain struck with the 9/11 masterminds.
“We need a president who kills terrorists, not negotiates with them,” Vance remarked in disgust.
The irony, of course, is that Osama bin Laden was killed under Obama’s watch.
Looks like plea deals only happen when someone else is in the Oval Office to take the public relations fall for him.
Perhaps one of the most disturbing elements of the entire situation is the fact that the families of 9/11 victims will never see the 9/11 masterminds have their day in court, after waiting for literally a quarter of a century.
“I feel like I was kicked in the balls … The prosecution and families have waited for 23 years to have our day in court to put on the record what these animals did to our loved ones,” retired NYPD officer Jim Smith informedthe New York Post.
Smiths’ wife had been killed in the terrorist attacks, and one can only imagine the enormous weight that Smith continues to feel now.
After watching college students (and Democrat representatives) support Hamas, which celebrates 9/11, for months, one can only imagine how the latest blow from the Biden administration must sting.
That said, it’s rather clear that the Dems are desperate for the terrorist vote.
Why else would they strike a plea deal with 9/11 masterminds mere months before the election?
