While the Democrats are currently gloating over their effective coronation of Kamala Harris, a few adults in the room are asking some real questions.
Including some journalists at ultra-leftist media publications.
According to a report from the New York Times, more than one question has been raised about Kamala’s ability to suddenly commandeer donations for “Biden’s” campaign.
“It’s the $96 million question: Can Vice President Kamala Harris seamlessly inherit the huge sum of money that President Biden amassed in his war chest for the Biden-Harris ticket?” the New York Times queried.
A sound point.
After all, Democrat voters who participated in the primary, no matter how deluded they may be in reality, surely must have expected the Democrat Party to at least be fully transparent about who would really be on the ticket in November.
Yet Biden has gone from insisting upon staying in the race to abruptly dropping out via social media, fully and shamelessly endorsing Kamala in the process.
Never mind the fact that Kamala accused him of racism and was polling at 1 percent, if that, during the 2020 primaries.
Naturally, Democrat employees at the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) claim that Kamala can just take the money and do with it as she sees fit.
Such as Democrat Dara Lindenbaum, a commissioner on the Federal Election Commission.
“In my view, this is not an open question,” Lindenbaum sniffed.
Is that so? Well, the “process” by which Kamala suddenly became presidential candidate is.
Which would naturally call the money into question.
“It’s very clear … If Kamala Harris is the Democratic presidential nominee, she gets to use all the money in the account,” Lindenbaum continued.
No doubt what she’s planning on. Unless, of course, the Dems had to drain most of the account to pay off the Biden family to drop out.
Another supremely “Democratic” move openly approved by the Democrats.
Needless to say, individuals with a tad more authority than clueless Lindenbaum have indicated that Ms. Kamala may not, in fact, commandeer the money in the way Dems suggest she can.
One such individual includes FEC Chairman Sean Cooksey.
During an appearance on “Morning Edition” on NPR, Cooksey noted that Biden is effectively attempting to hand over a huge amount of cash to only one person, who, all of a few days ago, was campaigning as vice president.
“I think it’s really complicated, is the short answer. What he’s attempting to do is to give his entire committee, the cash and all the assets, over to another person,” Cooksey observed.
On “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox, Cooksey was even blunter, noting that Kamala plans to “take the money and run,” regardless of the legal consequences.
“That doesn’t seem to be what’s happening here. It seems like, instead, what the Democrats are going to do is take the money and run, give it to the Harris campaign, not bother to get any FEC guidance and just deal with the consequences of that after the election,” Cooksey noted.
Heck, if the entire Biden family can get away with grifting millions from the Chinese, Russians, and Ukrainians, then obviously Kamala feels just fine plundering millions from the Dems’ so-called “war chest.”
“It looks like they’re about to spend all that money and deal with any enforcement matters or lawsuits later,” Cooksey noted.
Yep. Lawsuits undertaken through highly biased, deliberately chosen courts, of course.
And, while the other Democrat employees may “feel” Kamala can take the money, Cooksey posted actual legislation on X.
“If the candidate is not a candidate in the general election, all contributions made for the general election shall be either returned or refunded to the contributors or redesignated …, or reattributed …, as appropriate,” Cooksey intoned.
Well, it’s no coincidence the Dems have decided to blow off the law via various deranged policies, given how publicly they increasingly it.
