Trump has emerged from the near-successful assassination attempt more successful than ever, especially in the wake of his highly anticipated VP announcement.
Exactly what all of his genuine rallygoers wanted, including the tragic victims of the weekend’s shooting.
Trump’s selection of JD Vance was met with a flurry of praise, culminating in a veritable triple victory for Trump: Not only did he receive high praise from Congress, but also from the Senate and multiple governors.
House Speaker Mike Johnson led the way in praise, declaring that Trump has made a selection “worthy” of the American people.
“[Vance] possesses a profound understanding of the anxieties of working families and has both the lived experience and the policy expertise to help President Trump deliver a government worthy of the people it is supposed to serve,” Johnson proclaimed.
Absolutely. The selection of Vance is one of the many ways in which Trump aims to keep America great.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, not always the most reliable Trump ally, certainly pulled through following Trump’s VP announcement, asserting that Vance would be “a fierce advocate” for what’s most important.
“Senator JD Vance is a fierce advocate for the president’s policies and is the obvious pick for President Trump. He’ll make a strong case on the campaign trail on why we need to turn the page on the disastrous policies of the Biden administration,” McConnell mused.
Senator Tom Cotton, who has long been bold in questioning the Biden administration, identified Vance as a “friend” who would place “American workers” at the forefront of his concerns.
“J.D. Vance is a friend and a conservative champion who fights for American workers. He’ll make an outstanding vice president,” Cotton proclaimed.
Indeed, he will.
Bernie Moreno, a potential contender for the Senate in Ohio, is also delighted by Trump’s choice.
“President Trump made a brilliant selection in Senator JD Vance,” Moreno declared.
Hordes of governors also chimed in with praise for Vance, including the leader of Vance’s own home state: Ohio.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine noted that Vance and his backstory would resonate strongly with numerous Americans.
“A son of Middletown, Ohio, J.D. can relate to the many Americans who are struggling right now to make ends meet in this era of crushing inflation, and a housing market that is unaffordable and shutting many out of a chance at achieving the American dream,” DeWine asserted.
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who had long been rumored to be on Trump’s VP short list, who praised Vance’s “small town roots.”
“Today [Trump] selected @JdVance1 as his running mate, whose small town roots and service to country make him a powerful voice for the America First Agenda. I look forward to campaigning for the Trump-Vance ticket to Make America Great Again!” Burgum exclaimed.
Lastly, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin was especially proud of Vance for his “service as a U.S. Marine,” another way in which Trump’s VP selection has reinvigorated enthusiasm amongst his already enthusiastic supporters.
“Congratulations to @JDVance1 on your nomination to be the next Vice President of the United States! His passion for America’s prosperity, service as a U.S. Marine, and commitment to our commonsense conservative values are what we need for a stronger America,” Youngkin proclaimed.
