So much for a ceasefire in Eastern Europe.
Unlike the situation in Israel, where Biden has increasingly trended towards the side of pro-Hamas “protestors,” it seems that the “leader” of the supposedly free world has committed to a 10-year “bilateral agreement” with Ukraine in its continued war with Russia.
Of course, such an agreement naturally comes with tens of billions more in aid.
“President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today signed a 10-year bilateral security pact aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s ability to defend itself in the present while also deterring aggression in the future,” the DOD announced.
So, in other words, Biden is prepping for an ultra-long war, with limited to no possibility of a ceasefire.
It’s a shame Biden doesn’t feel the same need to “deter aggression” at the Southern border, that’s for sure.
“Per the agreement, the U.S. and Ukraine will spend the next 10 years building and maintaining Ukraine’s credible defense and deterrence capability; strengthening Ukraine’s capacity to sustain its fight over the long term; accelerating Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration; and consulting in the event of a future Russian armed attack against Ukraine,” the DOD added.
Amazing, how dedicated Biden is to the borders of every nation except that of the United States.
Imagine if he put just 5 percent of that commitment into defending the United States border.
However, Americans should rejoice, as Biden is apparently not committing American troops to the ground in Ukraine.
“Importantly, the pact does not commit U.S. forces to enter Ukraine and defend it against Russia’s invasion. The agreement instead formalizes Washington’s current support for Kyiv for at least another decade,” Politicodeclared.
Well, that’s nice!
… Except for the fact that Biden could change his position on a dime.
“Our goal is to strengthen Ukraine’s credible defense and deterrence capabilities for the long term. A lasting peace for Ukraine must be underwritten by Ukraine’s own ability to defend itself now, and to deter future aggression anytime in the future,” Biden boomed.
More like strengthen the endless money pit that the war has become.
Not to mention hasten the loss of American weaponry, which, unlike dollars, can’t just be printed by the United States government.
Biden proceeded to proclaim his ironic intentions to achieve “peace … around the world,” a rather farcical claim when considering all the wars his administration is all too happy to escalate.
“[It’s] a peace rooted in the U.N. charter, and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. [It’s] a peace with a broad basis for it around the world that holds Russia accountable for the damage it has done in this war,” Biden brayed.
So, in other words, Biden is channeling Woodrow Wilson, post-World War I.
Clearly, the Fourteen Points failed to prevent Hitler, and it’s likely that Biden’s so-called “bilateral agreement” will achieve similarly disastrous results.
And, of course, Biden boasted about $50B+ more in aid going to Ukraine
“I’m very pleased to share that, this week, the G7 signed a plan to finalize and unlock $50 billion in the proceeds of those frozen assets, to put that money to work for Ukraine [as] a reminder to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin we’re not backing down,” Biden declared.
With no accountability, of course. All the better to hide the payoffs to the “Big Guy.”
And, it’s safe to say, when Biden isn’t busy aimlessly wandering off stage or otherwise insulting world leaders, he is apparently trying to portray himself as some masterful leader.
“Biden’s aim in Europe is to portray himself as the unquestioned leader of the West, corralling world powers to Ukraine’s side and boosting his global image ahead of the November election,” Politico noted.
More like the unquestioned war monger of the West.
