“The Post was right, The Post was right.”
So declared the mayor of New York City, Democrat Eric Adams, when the truly devastating consequences of Biden’s “amnesty” program for illegal migrants (i.e., cartel members) surfaced.
For once, a woke politician agreed that the New York Post was correct.
Specifically, a 19-year-old, gang-affiliated Venezuelan was apparently free to roam around the nation, as well as free to shoot police officers.
What’s even more messed up is that the illegal already had his asylum case “dismissed” in Obamaland (i.e., Chicago), yet was somehow free to roam around New York.
Adams also admitted the truly deadly cost of the illegal doing so:
“I saw an officer sitting there with a bullet through his leg from a person who … came into our country. … We are paying his food, his housing,” Adams groaned.
Paying for an illegal cop shooter’s housing. That’s nice.
And that illegal kindly “repaid” the nation by shooting at cops. Then again, as New York City was the epicenter of “Defund Police,” is anyone really surprised?
Looks like Adams might want to tear himself away from hobnobbing with celebrities to keep abreast of mutiny rising within his own team.
As detailed by the New York Post, some of Adams’s apparent colleagues are even more leftist than he is, given their apparent disagreement with giving illegals “only” sixty days to stay in taxpayer-funded shelters.
During this time period, illegals are expected to secure “proper housing,” though clearly few of them do.
And, while that’s hardly the issue of Americans, the vast majority of whom do not live in New York City in the first place due to the insane cost of living, the ultra-left has made criminal illegals’ housing their issue.
Especially as the taxpayer funds for the fiasco in New York City are not only coming from New York residents, who clearly voted for the nonsense in the first place, but also all Americans, when accounting for all the federal funds that have been designated to the Dem-created crisis.
And, without a doubt, the leftists in New York will be shrieking for federal aid once again, especially following the asinine proposal of the ultra-left New York City Comptroller, Brad Lander.
Apparently, Lander dares to defy Adams through declaring that migrants should effectively have unlimited time in city shelters … which will no doubt further open the floodgates of mass illegal migration.
“This is not a policy designed or implemented to help families achieve stable housing and self-sufficiency and integrate into our city,” Landers raged.
Oh, really Landers? How about Americans who are having difficulty with “stable housing” amid the ongoing economic chaos, driven by poor Democrat policies in the first place?
Unbelievably, Landers issues an astonishing defense of illegal criminals, to the extent one would think they’re his own children.
“It was a policy designed to churn people through a system, to subject them to screening after screening, and to push them out of the shelter system with no regard for where they landed, with no regard for the impact on their kids’ education and with no regard for their actual path to stable housing, employment and self-sufficiency,” Landers ranted.
Well, gee, Landers. Most of Generation Z is nowhere near “self-sufficiency,” given their addiction to social media while residing in their parents’ basements.
Furthermore, many illegals refuse to speak English, which somewhat complicates their path to “self-sufficiency.”
In addition, the achievement of “stable housing” in New York City is a joke, especially with two-bedroom apartments easily costing $6,000 or more per month.
Those same apartments are also increasingly threatened by mass illegals who are notoriously setting up open drug and prostitution markets in some of the swankier areas of the city.
When they’re not busy shooting at police officers, that is.
Landers really lays on the pitiable pathos when he rants about the “cruelty” of policies that are already way too liberal, not to mention wholly anti-American.
“Beyond the cruelty of the policy, our investigation found significant management flaws in how City Hall is administering these evictions and how poorly they are tracking outcomes … Our City can do so much better,” Landers raged.
Sure, sure. Just let illegals keep on shooting cops, Landers.
What a swell outcome in the long run …
