Democrats’ perpetual efforts to “defund the police” were bad enough, but what’s really bad is when Democrats’ intransigent “sanctuary city” policies result in (additional) violent assaults on law enforcement officers.
That’s right: In addition to supporting allegedly American BLM activists’ violent assaults on law enforcement officers, now illegal migrants are assaulting law enforcement officers.
Apparently doing their Democrat masters’ bidding.
Even worse, after the illegal migrants violently assault law enforcement officers in predominantly liberal cities, they also benefit from the same cities’ absurd “zero bail” policies, which means they are out and about to wreak. Violent havoc all over again.
However, as it’s an election year, it appears that Dems are at least attempting to be less anti-police, if only to help swoop their puppet back to power.
“New York Governor Kathy Hochul continued her U-turn on the crisis at the border as she said that the state should consider deporting a group of migrants who went free on bail after attacking [police] in Times Square …
Four men were all charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Gang Assault, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Disorderly Conduct but were released without bail. A fifth, Jhoan Boada, 22, was arrested Monday night and charged with Attempted Assault on a Police Officer and Gang Assault,” the Daily Mail reported.
Well, that’s nice.
Illegals swarm to New York City to reap major league benefits, including taxpayer-funded hotel stays, and they apparently feel so emboldened that more than one of them can engage in “gang assault” and other truly violent crimes against police who are already struggling from diminished funding and anti-police insanity.
Governor Kathy Hochul, who was instilled after Andrew Cuomo was ousted, is apparently now attempting to govern, though she’s doing so quite poorly.
When she was asked about whether or not violent illegals, who have already assaulted law enforcement officers, should be deported, Hochul gave a typically vague reply.
“I think that’s actually something that should be looked at,” Hochul said carefully, almost as if obsessing over how her words would make her “look” to her fellow anti-American leftists.
Gee, you think?
How nice that a U.S. governor thinks that deportation of illegal gang members who shouldn’t be here in the first place should be “looked at,” and that’s only after they commit violent crimes.
As if almost realizing how poorly her words would be received by some, Hochul scrambled to sound reasonable, but reason has long since been lost amongst the Dems.
“I mean, if someone commits a crime against a police officer in the state of New York and they’re not here legally, it’s definitely worth checking into,” Hochul attempted to clarify.
Wow, how reassuring. So glad that a governor thinks it may be “worth checking into” whether or not to remove gang-affiliated, ultra-violent illegals from New York City.
If these illegal migrants are going to attack armed law enforcement officers with impunity, one can only imagine what they’ll do to regular American citizens, including women and children.
