One of the nicest things about the so-called “Squad” is the fact that exactly none of them could be considered remotely intelligent.
Moreover, virtually all of them could be characterized as anti-American, anti-conservative, and ultra-greedy.
That means they are prone to making extremely stupid mistakes that will be found out much sooner, rather than never.
In that sense, they’re a lot less scary than the more duplicitous globalists who are the ones likely bankrolling their idiocy in the first place.
While all the members of the so-called Squad are deplorable, Ms. Cori Bush is perhaps one of the worst, given that she was an active participant in violent BLM riots before being elected to Congress.
Go figure.
Bush immediately blew over $500,000 on private security during her first two years in office, claiming it was necessary “to do the work” of ending the police force.
“I’m going to make sure I have security because I know I have had attempts on my life and I have too much work to do. So, if I end up spending $200,000, if I spend … 10 more dollars on it, you know what? I get to be here to do the work … So, suck it up, and defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police and put that money into social safety nets because we’re trying to save lives,” Bush raged.
Uh huh.
And, as it turns out, while Bush has been one of the most vocal in her demands to “defund the police,” she has simultaneously stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars for her own “private security,” and who knows what else.
With pitiably poor justification for doing so.
“Since before I was sworn into office, I have endured relentless threats to my physical safety and life,” she said. “As a rank-and-file member of Congress, I am not entitled to personal protection by the House and instead have used campaign funds as permissible to retain security services. I have not used any federal tax dollars for personal security services. Any reporting that I have used federal funds for personal security is simply false,” Bush lied, after her financial crimes came to light.
Right. Ever occur to Ms. Bush that she’s dealing with “threats to her physical safety” as a direct result of her own violent actions? After all, she was amongst the rioters that stormed into private neighborhoods in Missouri and harassed individuals such as the McCloskey family.
Apparently not.
In other words, Bush is doing exactly what the executive team at BLM has done all along – steal, steal, and steal, all while playing the ultimate victim.
Hilariously, one of the largest recipients of the stolen funds is Bush’s so-called bodyguard, who is also now her husband.
Talk about stupidly obvious.
Bush’s excuse was even more stupid, if that can be believed.
“[I] retained my husband as part of my security team to provide security services because he has had extensive experience in this area, and is able to provide the necessary services at or below a fair market rate,” Bush babbled.
Is that so? Since when is $800,000 a “below a fair market rate” for private security?
As Bush is suspected to have stolen at least $740,000 over a three-year period, but who knows how enormous the amount really is.
Seems Bush and Bernie Sanders hail from the same school, given how poor their knowledge is of basic economic reality.
Naturally, the very freshman, loudmouth lawmaker began drawing attention for blowing hundreds of thousands of dollars on herself, leading to a complaint lodged by FACT.
Needless to say, Bush’s response to the report was also quite stupid.
“Unfortunately, after our complaint was filed, Rep. Bush changed the language on her disclosure describing the continuing payments to her husband to something amorphous and vague, ‘wage payments,’ which at a minimum is contrary to the purpose of the law to clearly describe the purposes of campaign disbursements,” a FACT representative recalled.
So, Bush further amplified the fraud by changing “Security Services” to “Wage Expense,” in a lame attempt to cover up what she was really doing after arousing suspicion.
Most sensible people would have stopped stealing at that point, but Bush apparently thought that relabeling stolen funds would somehow enable the fraud to continue.
Thus, it is not surprising that a report from the New York Post reveals that Bush’s shameless mismanagement of campaign funds continued well into December 2023.
Apparently, Bush’s boy toy was given an additional $17,500 for “wage expenses.”
When factoring in the additional amount of money expended in Q4 of 2023, Bush’s so-called “bodyguard”/husband received at least $122,710 in funds over the past two years, while other men, such as Nathaniel Davis, was also given $164,838 from Bush’s alleged campaign funds.
Not bad pay for doing effectively nothing, and who know the degree to which the financial mismanagement has really spread.
In fact, Bush’s actions have been so stupid that even Biden’s deeply politicized Department of “Justice” is now investigating her – that’s how poorly she’s covered up her shameless theft of taxpayers’ cash and campaign funds.
This investigation is in addition to two other probes from the FEC and the House Committee on Ethics.
Predictably, rather than come clean, Bush has blamed Republicans for her current woes.
“Right-wing organizations have lodged baseless complaints against me, peddling notions that I have misused campaign funds to pay for personal security services,” Bush whined.
Uh huh. So “baseless” that even Biden’s weaponized DOJ is now investigating the claims, along with at least two other entities.
Way to go, BLM “activists.”
The only saving grace is that the organization will go down in history as one of the biggest frauds, ever, all due to myopic greed and stupidity.
