“Boeing was once known for safety and engineering. But critics say an emphasis on profits changed that.”
That’s the latest deceptive headline from CNN, which is scrambling to cover for yet another ultra-woke company.
A company that just released earnings, and didn’t even bother to address the future of its ever-disastrous aircraft.
Newsflash, CNN: It isn’t “profits” that are making the culture of Boeing “change” …. It’s the absolute obsession with so-called diversity.
Regardless of truly unqualified an individual is, as long as they check the right boxes, they are apparently in a position of utmost authority.
While this approach is bad enough in lame, but ultimately inconsequential jobs, it’s especially bad for a company literally entrusted with billions of lives annually on its aircraft.
Amazingly, Boeing has admitted to the dilution of concerns regarding passenger safety, all in favor of more “diversity,” in its own official documentation.
“While our 2021 design incorporated operational performance in the areas of product safety, employee safety and quality, for 2022 we will add two other focus areas critical to our long-range business plan: climate and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I),” Boeing declared in a 2022 financial proxy statement.
Ah. Who cares about passenger safety when diversity and inclusion is far more pressing?
It appears that’s what the deeply overpaid executives at Boeing think, and they are indeed grossly overpaid if all they are tasked with doing is filling the ranks with people who check off identify boxes, rather than abilities.
Kind of like the tribalism that underpins endless civil wars in Africa, in case there were any doubts about where DEI is really going.
Of course, the Buttigieg-“led” FAA is on the scheme as well, actively seeking individuals with severe intellectual challenges to serve as air traffic controllers, per other recent (disturbing) reports.
“Because diversity is so critical, FAA actively supports and engages in a variety of associations, programs, coalitions and initiatives to support and accommodate employees from diverse communities and backgrounds. Our people are our strength, and we take great care in investing in and valuing them as such,” the FAA declared.
So, Boeing and the FAA, effectively working together in collusion to endanger passenger lives, all in favor of diversity.
How about protecting the lives of diverse passengers aboard every aircraft? Or are unintended consequences of a DEI obsession too challenging of a concept for woke warriors to take on?
Or, in the words of Elon Musk, DEI should really be “DIE,” as that’s what’s going to end up happening.
It’s definitely not too much of a challenge for Mr. Musk, who has long lambasted DEI for exactly what it is – total nonsense.
“It will take an airplane crashing and killing hundreds of people for them to change this crazy policy of DIE,” Elon Musk flatly remarked.
Musk also took aim at Boeing itself, which has had a number of safety mishaps as of late.
“Do you want to fly in an airplane where they prioritized DEI hiring over your safety? That is actually happening,” Musk queried.
Indeed.
