Gotta love it when a billionaire Blue State governor, who has all but invited massive calamity from migrants to befall him with “sanctuary policies” has the nerve to beg an actual border state for mercy.
That’s right: J.B. Pritzker, the billionaire governor of Illinois, is apparently begging Texas Governor Greg Abbott for “mercy” from his own deranged migration policies.
“While action is pending at the federal level, I plead with you for mercy for the thousands of people who are powerless to speak for themselves … Please, while winter is threatening vulnerable people’s lives, suspend your transports and do not send more people to our state,” Pritzker begged Abbott.
Pritzker’s pleas emerge on the heels of a number of severe winter storms threatening the state. Granted, such weather conditions are indeed perilous. However, from the migrant standpoint, if the sanctuary city of Chicago is all on board with giving them “free food for life,” amongst other freebies funded by taxpayers, exactly where did Pritzker, and other Democrat governors/mayors, expect illegals to go?
Obviously, Pritzker should of thought of that before the pathetic virtue signaling he and others have done through sanctuary cities.
“Hundreds of children’s and families’ health and survival are at risk due to your actions,” Pritzker continued.
Is that so? Well, as Pritzker lives in a residence that is 50,000 square feet (that’s right, 50 thousand), perhaps he has room for a few hundred people or so (literally) in his personal residence, if he feels that strongly about it.
Indeed, surely Pritzker must be comfortable enough with illegals living in his personal home, especially as he is subjecting some of the least “privileged” people of Chicago to his deranged sanctuary city aims.
Heck, millions of migrant lives are actually endangered from Dems’ false promises, who appear to love sanctuary cities until they have to experience them in reality.
Needless to say, Texas Governor Greg Abott is hardly inclined to show “mercy” to entities who caused the crisis in the first place, as evidenced by remarks from Abbott spokesperson Andrew Mahaleris.
Ironically noting that Illinois has long held itself as “the most welcoming state in the nation,” Mahaleris proceeded to suggest that Pritzker take up his concerns with the federal government, as the Biden regime is by far the biggest aider and abettor of illegal border crossers.
“Instead of complaining about migrants sent from Texas, where we are also preparing to experience severe winter weather across the state, Governor Pritzker should call on his party leader to finally do his job and secure the border – something he continues refusing to do,” Mahaleris drawled.
Seriously. Especially as Texas deals with millions of illegals, while Chicago has dealt with a whopping 100,000.
“Until President Biden steps up and does his job to secure the border, Texas will continue transporting migrants to sanctuary cities to help our local partners respond to this Biden-made crisis,” Mahaleris added.
A perfectly practical solution, giving that many migrants are gunning for the freebies in sanctuary cities anyway.
As sanctuary cities also reject police presence, given the “Defund Police” madness, illegals are also more than content to live a life off the taxpayers’ dime, provided Dems can continue to connive ways of stealing money from hardworking Americans.
