Looks like 2024 is off to a fantastic start, at least if the rumors regarding President Joe Biden buckling under Republican pressure are true.
And one of those rumors is the fact that Texas Governor Greg Abbott is apparently winning the battle of the buses.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Biden administration is finally considering measures to combat open borders … if only because 2024 is an election year.
These measures apparently include a “credible fear interview,” wherein migrants actually have to prove they’re in danger if they return back home … not just say they’re in danger.
After all, thousands of TikTok videos instruct migrants to simply claim they are seeking “political asylum.”
Interesting that so many asylum seekers choose such illegal means to enter a nation of refuge.
In addition, the White House is also mulling measures that would facilitate more rapid deportation of migrants.
The Biden administration’s movements should not come as any great surprise, except perhaps to former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who at one point dismissed Abbott’s busing strategy as a “stunt.”
Looks like Ms. Psaki is eating her words now, especially when considering the dour statistics rolling in from 2023.
December 2023 witnessed a staggering 300,000 migrants storm the border, the highest number of monthly illegal entries ever.
A tad concerning that the 300,000+ illegals have swarmed the border following the war in Israel, especially as it takes just a few individuals to bring a nation to its knees through a well-executed terrorist plot.
Not that Dems appear overly concerned about terrorism – heck, some of them openly support Palestinian terrorists.
They are, however, obsessed with milking the situation for even more taxpayer funds to waste.
Woke city mayor after woke city mayor is now ranting and raving about the arrival of a few thousand migrants to cities with millions of residents.
Even more humorously, all of the Democrat strongholds are so-called “sanctuary cities,” which means that local law enforcement officers apparently do not have the power to ban illegals from swarming the city.
Frankly, it is rather ironic that Dems are demanding veritable billions in federal funding … for failing to enforce federal immigration laws. In fact, demanding money for deliberately breaking federal immigration laws.
In other words, the same type of mentality, and in some cases behavioral patterns, that dominate most Dem voters.
Even more hilariously, the New York City Mayor has demanded the most funding of all, most of which has been rejected.
That said, Adams still managed to worm $140M of federal taxpayer funds to support non-U.S. citizens breaking the law, though the $140M pales in comparison to the apparently $12B the city thinks that its migrant crisis will cause.
Abbott, however, remains unimpressed by Democrat whining making it clear that they are experiencing just a “fraction” of what Texas has experienced for decades.
“Sanctuary cities like NYC & Chicago have seen only a FRACTION of what overwhelmed Texas border towns face daily,” Abbott proclaimed on X.
Indeed.
The Daily Mail also reports that at least 2.4 million migrants streamed across the United States border, noting that the astronomical figure represents only reported contact with migrants.
Imagine if just 0.01 percent of them were terrorists or terrorist sympathizers.
For reference, 9/11 featured all of 19 different hijackers.
These hijackers managed to set the course of American policy via the “War on Terror,” a war that ended rather ignominiously in Afghanistan.
Of course, the Taliban prevailed under Biden.
Worryingly, 19 individuals would constitute all of 0.000008 percent of 2.4 million, and it’s highly likely that at least 0.000008 percent of illegal migrants have come to the nation with fairly nefarious intentions.
Thankfully, Texas hasn’t yet jumped the shark and gone “purple,” as more than one Dem is angling for, especially with all the “refugees” from California now residing in Texas.
That means Texas actually has sane governance, and a governor who won’t back down from the bullying Biden regime.
“We will continue our transportation mission until Biden reverses course on his open border policies,” Abbott added forcefully.
