Biden Wages War On (Another) Consumer Appliance

First, it was gas-powered cars.

Then, it was gas-powered stoves.

Now, rather humorously, the Biden regime has taken aim at another vital consumer product: dishwashers.

That’s right: Forget the private jets the political elites constantly use (and abuse), courtesy of the taxpayers’ dime … as apparently the same elites believe that dishwashers are now responsible for mass carbon emissions.

As indicated in a recent report from the Daily Mail, the green-obsessed puppet masters really running the White House have decided that consumers (and companies) must now be stringent to additional regulations that they themselves would never deign to follow.

On Day 1 of his so-called presidency, one of the seventeen executive orders Biden signed allowed for the Department of Energy to make “major revisions” to varied appliance regulation standards.

And while it may be difficult to keep up with the onslaught of executive orders that have been blindly signed by Biden, it is clear that whoever is behind those executive orders is having their demented wishes fulfilled.

Indeed, just a few days ago, the DoE unveiled yet another invasive guideline, which will mandate dishwasher manufacturers to limit the use of water to 3.2 gallons per cycle, representing a 36 percent reduction from the present federal limit of 5.0 gallons.

In addition, manufacturers will also be required to ensure their products to reduce energy consumption by at least 30 percent.

Given that the vast majority of dishwashers presently on the market already use 3.5 gallons of water or less, the latest “standards” unveiled by the DoE, set to take place in 2027, are yet another prime example of shameless White House invasiveness.

Jill Notini, a spokeswoman for the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, made it rather clear that the latest move is both anti-business and anti-consumer.

“Consumers will pay the real price … The Department of Energy has proposed very stringent standards for home appliances that will require higher upfront costs to purchase a product,” Notini remarked in annoyance.

Just like $100,000+ electric cars that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg demands all Americans buy, when he can tear himself away from yet another taxpayer-funded private jet and/or vacation, that is.

Don’t forget his two months of taxpayer funded “paternity leave” either.

“Manufacturers just want to be able to deliver high performing, fully featured products at costs that consumers of all incomes can afford. The DoE is making that very difficult with the standards they are proposing,” Notini added pointedly.

Well, the Biden administration may be many things, but pro-business certainly isn’t amongst those characteristics.

Abgail Marone, who serves as an aide to Josh Hawley, is clearly disgusted with the latest White House manipulations, which she made extremely clear in a pointed, succinct statement.

“Leave our dishwashers alone,” Marone declared, noting that the White House is further peddling “a radical green agenda.”

An agenda that is trucking along nicely under the Biden regime, all while the elites live in massive mansions and effectively attempt to mimic Russian oligarchs.

By the end of 2022, the administration was predictably bragging about taking so-called action against well over 100 different household appliances, which will allegedly reduce carbon emissions.

Shame that they won’t give up their private jets, which have long been cited as, by far, one of the most damaging activities for the environment.

Then again, the swamp doesn’t care about the environment; it just cares about having it all … for itself.
