While the White House has not exactly embodied the virtues of honesty, one would think that the Biden administration would know better than to issue a lie so outrageous that it could be disproven within seconds.
Alas, the present White House regime apparently missed the memo on believable deception, barreling straight into deception that beggars belief.
“In the meantime, he has tools that he’s used to make sure we do this. We actually deal with the immigration system in a humane way, in a way that actually deals with what we’re seeing at the border. And that’s why you’ve seen the parolee program be so successful. When it comes to illegal immigration, you’ve seen it come down by more than 90%. And that’s because of this, the actions that this president has taken,” woke White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre trilled.
Reason #989 to not hire someone based on identity politics alone.
Jean-Pierre may be gay, black, and female, but she is also condescending, dishonest, and downright incompetent.
If illegal immigration is down “90 percent,” as she falsely claims, exactly why has a border city declared a state of emergency, in anticipation of the White House eliminating the Title 42 justification for keeping illegals out?
El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser certainly wouldn’t be amused by Jean-Pierre’s lies, considering he is the one that has deal with the brunt of the violent, cartel-driven influx.
“The reason we’re declaring a state of emergency is to make sure we can stand up and prepare for May 11 … To make sure we have public shelters, public housing… and two schools in place,” Leeser intoned.
Leeser is hardly the only one who finds Jean-Pierre’s claims to be absurd.
Stephen Miller, a former Trump advisor, noted that the nation is currently experiencing one of the largest increases in illegal migration.
“We are suffering through the largest tidal wave of illegal immigration in human history and it’s not even close,” Miller remarked.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also directly called out Jean-Pierre’s gaslighting.
“This is a blatant lie from the Biden administration. This is the worst border crisis on record. They created the crisis, and now they are denying it exists,” McDaniel remarked in disgust.
Even more grotesquely, Jean-Pierre had the gall to blame Republicans for the crisis, at least in part.
“But we know that more action needs to be taken. So it has to be legislative action. We’re going to continue to call Congress to do that. And so, this is important to this president. On day one, on day one, he put forth a legislation to move forward on this,” Jean-Pierre boomed.
“We’re going to continue to call on Congress.” Right. When Congress happens to be (barely) controlled by Republicans at this point in time.
How about calling on Congress to use funds to finish the wall, which they are legally bound to do anyway?
How about calling on Congress to ban sanctuary cities, which run in direct violation to federal law?
Heck, those same sanctuary cities are losing their minds over a few hundred migrants being bussed up to them, never mind the multiple millions of illegals streaming all over Texas.
Alas, Jean-Pierre could care less what Congress does or doesn’t do, as long as she remains grossly overpaid for barely being able to read her binder, not to mention her inability to answer any questions that haven’t been thoroughly pre-vetted.
In the meantime, border states continue to bear the brunt of Democrats’ extreme irresponsibility.
