Reparations Task Force Flies Into A Rage … Over Reality

Nothing like a little dose of reality to send the so-called “Reparations Task Force” into a fresh fit of rage, especially when that reality pertains to the impossible economic costs of the absurdly intentioned program.

As detailed in a report from Fox News, Cheryl Grills, a clinical psychologist and member of the California Reparations Task Force, delivered an impressively absurd word salad regarding the apparent importance of totally disregarding costs when it comes to the ill-conceived “reparations” plan for the state.

“We want to make sure that this is presented out in a way that does not reinforce the preoccupation with a dollar figure, which is the least important piece of this,” Grills ranted.

Oh, but of course. The “dollar figure” happens to be “the least important piece” of the entire scheme … yet “activists” are screaming for $5M per black resident in San Francisco.

Seems like the “dollar figure” matters a whole lot to the so-called recipients of reparations, though the taxpayers stuck with the bill apparently have to contend with all the other nonsense spewed by divisive individuals such as Grills.

“It’s important … but it’s the least important in terms of being able to get to a point in our country’s history and in California’s history where we recognize that the harm cuts across multiple areas and domains and that the repair needs to align with that,” Grills intoned.

Hey, Grills … cut the generalities and remember you’re dealing with a government program, not some woke college class in which specifics are irrelevant and generalities reign supreme.

Anything to erase any form of individuality, like a classic communist regime.

Fox News also noted that it is “unclear” how California will apparently pay for its absurd reparations plan, given that Governor Newsom already announced that the state would be running a $22.5B deficit in the upcoming fiscal year, a massive crash from the government subsidy-fueled surplus the governor previously enjoyed before.

Even more humorously, a more recent government agency report illustrated that nitwit Newsom was likely still short by at least $7B in his projection, which means California is really poised for upwards of a $30B deficit.

In the meantime, all the individuals who actually work for a legal living, not to mention entire corporations, have steadily fled the state over the years, further underscoring the degree to which the so-called “Reparations Task Force” is completely divorced from reality. After all, where exactly does this task force think all the funds for reparations are going to come from? State-sanctioned “smash and grab” robberies mislabeled as “corporate reparations?”

Oh, wait! BLM “protestors” have already done that. So, it’s rather unclear where this mystical $800B+ and counting is going to come from, but it will clearly be discussed endlessly until the 2024 presidential election … before the entire scheme is shelved for another year or so and trotted out again for the 2026 midterms.

Rinse and repeat, and count on all the Dem voters to continue having memories about as expansive as a goldfish.

In the meantime, plenty of useful (well paid) “activists” such as Grills will be out and about, spewing their hatred while simultaneously self-victimizing.

“It’s really unfortunate. I’m actually sad to see that our news media is not able to nuance better. It’s almost like, ‘What’s going to be sensational’ as opposed to what’s important,” Grills raged.

Tell that to BLM protestors, Grills.

And as far as being able to “nuance better,” perhaps provide a more succinct explanation for why exactly California, which was always a free state, owes $5M+ to residents who will likely burn through all of it within a year’s time.

Indeed, it would be almost humorous to observe California’s latest, self-inflicted catastrophe, provided that the state does not attempt to drag down the entire nation in doing so.

Which more than one sage commenter noted.

“The biggest virtue signal of all time. I’m actually hoping they do it knowing it will ruin the state. I am looking forward to what happens when people don’t get the money, although it better not metastasize to federal funds,” the individual mused.

“Metastasize” is perhaps one of the most accurate ways to describe the current state of California’s ambitions, especially as woke Silicon Valley Bank already got a bigtime bailout from the Biden regime.

It would not be surprising at all if a federal bailout for a horribly conceived reparations scheme comes next …
