Blue City Busts Out Millions For BLM

Buckle up and get ready for more “protests,” especially as some woke judge in a blue city recently decided it would be a great idea to pay out collective millions to hundreds of BLM “protestors.”

According to a complaint from a class action lawsuit, one in which none of the plaintiffs were likely to have shelled out a penny, the police were apparently “unreasonable” in how they dealt with a mob known for extreme violence.

Not to mention endless chants urging people to kill cops.

Needless to say, those little incidents did not make their way into the complaint.

On the contrary, a series of one-sided declarations did instead.

“The protesters had committed no acts of violence or resistance that would justify this excessive and unreasonable use of force. Many people were left injured and bleeding. Some fainted or lost consciousness and went into convulsions,” the lawsuit alleged.

No acts of violence? Really? Then what exactly played out across millions of American TV screens?

Who exactly set all the fires? Who exactly assaulted police officers, at times with deadly weapons? Who turned multiple business days into prime looting opportunities?

What exactly were police supposed to do as more and more militant BLM members massed in an increasingly hostile situation? Twiddle their thumbs?

These days, even that is probably risky, as police tend to be damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

“The march was orderly and peaceful. There were no instances of violence, no confrontations with police or anyone else, and no harm to property,” the complaint continued.

Spare us all, please.

New York City, which has been besieged by increasing levels of violence ever since former Mayor Rudy Giuliani left, has been especially prone to extreme violence ever since BLM received a national microphone, rivaled perhaps only by Chicago or Los Angeles.

Or Seattle or Portland or Philadelphia or Baltimore, all of which are renowned for their extensive welfare systems and nonstop criminal violence.

But, sure, police are the bad guys.

Humorously, the defendants not only include numerous members of the New York City Police Department (NYPD), but also former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, an avowed Democrat.

Too bad de Blasio fails to realize that no matter how woke he acts and talks, the likes of BLM will happily sue him for all he’s worth if they spy an opportunity to do so.

At least he had the sense to deny the allegations.

“Defendants deny any and all liability and deny that they had or have a policy, or engaged in or currently engage in a pattern or practice, that deprived persons of their rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the United States and the State of New York,” the defendants responded.

Despite this response, the BLM “protestors” are set to receive a rather large cash bonus.

Thanks to some woke judge, all of the whining protestors, who were likely already paid by Soros to protest in the first place, are receiving a cash handout of $21,500 each.

Not a bad lump of cash to receive in a night’s protest, especially when compounded with other payments, alongside a media megaphone to amplify extreme bias.

Little wonder that police are fleeing to states that actually respect the law, like Florida.

In fact, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis offered police willing to relocate to the Sunshine State a $5,000 bonus, not to mention statewide respect for the protection they offer to the public.

Meanwhile, violent crime continues to spiral out of control in New York City and other blue cities, with the elitist politicians blaming so-called “white privilege” from their literally gilded existence.
