Biden Seizes Female Reporter’s Umbrella

President Biden has made headlines again, for rather humorous reasons.

This time, he apparently decided it would be a great idea to seize a reporter’s umbrella in response to their question, which is all the more ironic considering the absence of the “social distancing” he used to insist upon.

NBC Kristen Welker had attempted to call out a question to the president, but her inquiry was drowned out by Marine One.

At that point, Biden wheeled around, grasped Welker’s hand and squeezed himself under her umbrella, pulling it towards him to ensure he didn’t get wet.

Rather startled by Biden’s abrupt move towards her, Welker meekly repeated, ““what’s behind your decision to end the COVID emergency?”

Clearly not much, considering how brazenly he violated social distancing.

Wasn’t wearing a mask either.

“The COVID emergency will end when the Supreme Court ends it. We’ve extended it to May the 15th to make sure we get everything done. That’s all. There’s nothing behind it at all,” Biden boomed in response.

Actually, Mr. President, there is “more behind it” than you realize, as noted by Fox News, which tallied yet another confused Biden moment.

“The president appeared to confuse the COVID emergency with the battle to end Title 42, a policy enacted by the Trump administration that turns away migrants at the southern border due to the pandemic, which the Biden administration is trying to reverse. The Supreme Court ruled to keep the policy in place at least until the spring,” the outlet reported.

Well, how about that. And, wouldn’t you know it, but while Biden was busy seizing reporters’ umbrellas, Republicans were busy passing bills in the House that have asserted, indeed, that the pandemic is over.

The House, rather than the Supreme Court, made that call, Biden’s obvious obliviousness aside.

Speaking of Title 42, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is surely ordering up more buses to deal with yet (another) massive influx of migrants.

The policy has proven highly successful, especially as DHS Secretary Alejandra Mayorkas can no longer claim that the border crisis doesn’t exist.

“Since April, Texas’ busing strategy has successfully provided much-needed relief to our border communities overwhelmed by the historic influx of migrants caused by President Biden’s reckless open border policies,” Abbott noted in a recently released statement.

Exactly. “Much-needed relief” is perhaps one of the nicest ways of phrasing it.

“Until the Biden Administration does its job and provides Texans and the American people with sustainable border security, Texas will continue defending against an invasion along the border, including adding more sanctuary cities like Philadelphia as drop-off locations for our busing strategy,” Abbott added forcefully, making it clear that the bussing will continue, unabated, whether Biden likes it or not.

Humorously, Abbott is hardly the only representative who thinks the White House is doing a suboptimal job at the border.

Mayor Eric Adams, after all, has become quite incensed by the growing migrant population in New York, especially as they have decided to set up tent cities, or makeshift Bidenvilles, outside $700 per night hotels.

Likely fewer people are willing to spend $700 per night at a hotel where they can enjoy tripping over enraged, entitled migrants in the morning.

“I have a Republican governor dumping on my city. I have a Democratic governor dumping on my city. That is where the national government should have stepped in and said, ‘Wait a minute, let’s coordinate this effort,” Adams complained, referencing not only the bussing efforts of Governor Abbott, but also Colorado Democrat Governor Jared Polis, who engaged in his own bussing efforts due to excessive migrant influx.

“I’m extremely frustrated …The White House must have a real decompression strategy,” Adams raged.

Don’t worry, Mayor Adams!

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is clearly up to the task. Just consider her deeply detailed response when she was asked directly about the New York Mayor’s plea.

“Look, we’re going to continue to do the work,” Jean-Pierre sniffed.

No additional details were offered regarding “the work” the administration has allegedly been doing.
