DeSantis Takes A Stand For National Security

In the wake of the COVID pandemic, much of the world’s attention has turned towards what China’s real intentions are, especially given the economic strength and policital influence the nation now wields.

It is unfortunate that such scrutiny did not begin years ago, considering a recent report from the American Enterprise Institute, which noted that the “value of China’s overseas investment and construction combined since 2005 is $2.25 trillion.”

And guess where a huge percentage of that investment is?

That’s right: The United States.

Conveniently, the ruling CCP happens to procure land that happens to be near major American military bases.

Whichever genius thought it would be a great idea to sell sensitive land to the CCP has clearly made out like a bandit, in spite of the very grave risks to national security.

For this reason, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a ban on the CCP, and CCP-related shell companies, from procuring any more property in Florida.

“When they have interests that are opposed to ours and you see how they’ve wielded their authority, especially with President Xi, who’s taken a much more Marxist turn since he’s been ruling China, [it] is not in the best interests of Florida to have the Chinese Communist Party owning farmland, owning land close to military bases,” DeSantis explained.

Exactly. Very common sense.

However, DeSantis also doesn’t want the CCP raiding the booming subdivision market in Florida, much of which houses tax refugees from broke, crime-laden, Democrat-run states up north.

“My view is, okay, yeah, no farmland, but why would you want them buying residential developments or things like that? I don’t want them owning subdivisions or things like that,” DeSantis continued.

“The issue’s going to be if someone comes in and buys, it’s not the CCP that’s signing that. These are holding companies. You’ve got to structure [legislation] in a way that will effectively police it. But yes, we do not need to have CCP influence in Florida’s economy,” he added assertively.

Definitely not.

That is the same CCP, after all, that reportedly donated $30M to the Penn Center in 2017.

And guess where the first round of Biden’s misplaced classified docs were found?

Fortunately, DeSantis is also limiting the influence of the CCP across Florida universities.

“We banned the Confucius Institutes from our universities and our state colleges. They have used those Confucius Institutes across the country to basically bring propaganda into our universities – as if our universities don’t have enough problems already,” the governor continued.

That’s for sure. Just compare universities in Florida under DeSantis versus universities in California under Newsom.

Apparently, the University of Southern California School of Social Work is removing the word “field” from all curriculum because the word is … you guessed it … “racist.”

“Specifically, we have decided to remove the term ‘field,’ from our curriculum and practice and replace it with ‘practicum. Language can be powerful, and phrases such as ‘going into the field’ or ‘fieldwork’ may have connotations for descendants of slavery and immigrant workers that are not benign,” the school sniffed.

By all means, keep dismantling the English language.

Though to be fair, at the rate sanctuary cities are expanding and public schools are failing in the so-called “Golden State,” English is probably barely used anymore anyway, at least relative to states not overrun by poor schools and illegal migrants.

The madness also extends to the United Kingdom, as McGill University recently had to cancel the appearance of Robert Wintemute, a professor of human rights law specializing in sexual orientation at Kings College.

However, apparently he stands accused of having an undefined association with an allegedly “transphobic” group, which means he was subject to instant cancellation despite ironically being quite liberal.

“Probably the majority of women in this country disagree with some of transgender demands but they refuse to say so because they will be seen as intolerant,” Wintemute mused.

Just like the majority of Americans disagree with virtually everything the Democrats spew, but they are also afraid of being seen as intolerant … or subject to violence.
