In case you missed it, every single flight in the United States was grounded for the first time since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the flight delays and cancellations have continued to plague the airline industry ever since.
Apparently, “irregularities” were observed in the nation’s NOTAM system, which led to cancelling all flights out of “an abundance of caution.”
Somehow, a “corrupted file” is responsible, though a full explanation has yet to emerge at the time of this writing.
As usual, Buttigieg preens as if he has all the answers, or the best ways of getting to the answers.
“This gives us a really important data point at a really important moment to understand what we’re going to need moving forward,” Buttigieg drawled, without offering any specifics.
“The most important thing I want passengers to know is my number one priority is safety,” Buttigieg falsely added.
Actually, the number one priority appears to be wokeness, judging from varied media reports.
Buttigieg apparently concentrated his efforts on eliminating “gendered language” upon assuming his position as Transportation secretary, as reported by the Daily Mail, a British tabloid that ironically publishes more truths than the “esteemed” journalists at elitist American publications.
Which isn’t saying much.
“After taking office in 2021, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg oversaw a rebranding of the FAA system that failed today and delayed thousands of flights so that it would be ‘more inclusive’ … It remains unclear whether that modernization or any of the changes played a role in the overnight outage that led the FAA to ground all flights in the US on Wednesday morning,” the outlet remarked.
Apparently, part of this alleged modernization included rebranding “airmen” as “air missions.”
Specifically, a 2021 FAA filing reveals that Buttigieg made gender his top priority upon becoming Transportation Secretary: “The acronym NOTAM is updated from Notice to Airmen to the more applicable term Notice to Air Missions, which is inclusive of all aviators and missions.”
According to an article from the New York Times, the phrase “airmen” is “anachronistically gendered.”
Multiple millions of customers impacted by grounded flights will surely be just fine with mass delays, knowing that the “modernization” of the system is subscribing to transgender militantism.
Needless to say, GOP Representative Nicole Malliotakis was unimpressed with how Buttigieg has handled the situation to date.
“ALL domestic flights are grounded for the 1st time since 9/11. It’s just one transportation crisis after another under Biden. Instead of worrying about racist roads & gas-powered cars, he should focus on REAL transportation & cyber security upgrades,” Malliotakis declared.
That’s right. After all, one of Buttigieg’s first “actions” as Transportation Secretary was apparently to focus on roads that are “racist.”
GOP Representative Mike Davis also observed that Buttigieg, as clearly woke selection, maybe shouldn’t be overseeing something as crucial as transportation.
“Dear President Biden: Maybe it wasn’t such a great idea to pick Cabinet secretaries based upon demographics – instead of actual qualifications? Small-town mayors are qualified to fill potholes. They aren’t qualified to maintain our nation’s complex transportation infrastructure,” Davis declared.
Well, Biden isn’t qualified to maintain national security either, so in a weird way, Buttigieg is his ideal match.
Donald Trump, Jr. was even more aggressive in his blistering criticism of Buttigieg, shredding the “identity essentialism,” to borrow a phrase from DeSantis, that the Democrats have fully invested in.
“Breaking – All flights nationwide have been grounded – the #FAA is facing a computer outage. Yet another major blow to incompetent Transportation Sect Mayor Pete and people who get important jobs with no experience to check some identity politics boxes,” Trump declared.
One can only hope that Republicans right the sinking ship the Democrats have commenced before it’s too late.
