Another year, another ineffectual response from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who is apparently determined to outlast Ghastly Psaki, no matter how much she has to lie to do so.
In some cases, the lies have become so obvious, such as Biden’s rather obvious, at minimum, indirect collusion with disgraced former “billionaire” Sam Bankman-Friedman, otherwise known as the scam artist facing 100+ years in prison due to blatant thievery and fraud.
Naturally, Bankman-Friedman was the second largest donor to Biden’s basement-based 2020 presidential “campaign,” with only (real) billionaire George Soros being the largest donor.
Inconveniently for Biden, Bankman-Friedman apparently had top level access to the White House a minimum of four different times this year, and those are meetings on the books.
So, in yet another display of her breathtaking lack of creativity, Jean-Pierre delivered perhaps the most standard response ever to press inquiries over Biden’s links to the fraud artist.
“The White House regularly engages with officials from a range of industries and sectors, including leaders in business and labor and nonprofits,” Jean-Pierre sniffed.
“A range of industries” all right. Like plundering people’s life savings in the Caribbean, all to donate to the Democrats.
Which, in a way, is pretty much what Democrats are doing now.
Way to evade the question. And, by default, make it clear that the meetings were rather nefarious in nature.
In general, Bankman-Friedman is very bad news for Americans in general.
He spent $40M on Democrat campaigns for the 2022 midterm elections, some of which likely went to ballot harvesting endeavors, or, in extreme cases, perhaps even paying off unethical poll workers.
He also bragged that he would spend $1B to ensure that Democrats would retain the White House in 2024.
Curiously, Bernie Sanders has appeared to remain silent about this particular billionaire.
Hilariously, several Democrats are now in a very uncomfortable position of having Bankman-Friedman’s donations “clawed back” from them due to the obviously criminal nature of the donated monies.
In essence, the money Democrats accepted would be about the same level of wrongness as taking cartel leader payouts.
Which they probably take anyway, at least indirectly, given the chaos at the border.
New FTX boss John Jay Ray III is attempting to right the wrongs of Mr. Bankman-Friedman, and he sent out a rather pointed statement aimed at Democrats who apparently don’t know the difference between lawful and unlawful anymore.
And Ray recently had to issue a statement, due in part to Democrats’ next moronic move regarding the stolen funds they received, as reported by the Daily Wire.
“Several individual Democrats who received donations from Bankman-Fried have said they intend to give the money to charity. But Ray, an insolvency specialist who took control of the company on Nov. 11, said it isn’t theirs to give away,” the outlet reported.
No kidding.
Sadly, Ray actually had to spell out the law to alleged “lawmakers” in a pretty forthright statement.
“Recipients are cautioned that making a payment or donation to a third party (including a charity) in the amount of any payment received from a FTX Contributor does not prevent the FTX Debtors from seeking recovery from the recipient or any subsequent transferee,” FTX declared in a statement.
Translation: Democrats attempting to donate the Bankman-Friedman funds to “charities” (i.e., their own foundations) should think twice. After all, if someone stole $1M and gave it to someone else, is someone else able to legally donate the stolen $1M to charity?
Of course not!
Then again, since Democrats are so used to robbing taxpayers and redistributing elsewhere, their response isn’t surprising. The only surprise is just how open they are about their ignorance (or willful disobedience?) of the laws that they themselves had a hand in making!
“To the extent such payments are not returned voluntarily, the FTX Debtors intend to commence actions before the Bankruptcy Court to require the return of such payments, with interest accruing from the date any action is commenced,” the statement added.
How hilarious. Imagine the publicity surrounding clawed back Democrat donations.
Actually, given the mainstream media … nevermind.
Ray succeeded in clawing back millions from Enron, to the tune of approximately 52 cents per dollar, is set to claw back whatever he can from Mr. Bankman-Friend’s brazen theft and exploitation.
Which means top Dems may receive a real wakeup call soon regarding the realities of receiving stolen lifesavings to fund their pitiable campaigns.
Or will they?
As reported by the Daily Wire, Bankman-Friedman is already enjoying leftist privilege, right down to attorneys linked to Epstein.
You can’t make this stuff up … though one definitely wishes it were made up.
“U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan tentatively established a trial date for October during the arraignment, according to a report from journalist Matthew Russell Lee. Mark Cohen, a lawyer for Bankman-Fried who formerly defended Jeffrey Epstein confidant Ghislaine Maxwell, requested that Kaplan permit the sealing of the names and addresses of two individuals who secured the $250 million bond due to attention drawn to the case, which has dominated headlines for more than two months. Kaplan approved the motion,” the outlet intoned ominously.
So, Bankman-Friedman gets to effectively benefit from no one in the public knowing who bailed him out, putting up a minimum of $25M in cash? If even that amount was put up?
Or, did Bankman-Friedman even get “bailed out” at all … or ordered out of jail by a top government authority.
The fact that Bankman-Friedman is out on a $250M bond, with an effective gag order on information regarding who bailed him out, compounded by the fact he’s an obvious “flight risk,” yet was given bail anyway …
Seems rather dark times are in store in 2023, as some seriously shady players are clearly backing Bankman-Friedman.
In light of his four (or more) meetings in the White House in 2022, shouldn’t be too hard to figure out one of the few people in a position powerful enough to carry on such subterfuge …
