Hawley Blasts Buttigieg’s Brazen Hypocrisy

While Emperor Biden has a number of insufferable people in his administration, perhaps one of the most insufferable is Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Needless to say, Buttigieg hasn’t done much to improve transportation.

Instead, he opts to prattle on about the so-called “Green Deal.”

“When you look at the U.S. economy, transportation accounts for the largest share of our greenhouse gas emissions. To me, that means transportation ought to be responsible for the biggest share of the solution,” Buttigieg sniffed.

Easy to say, Buttigieg. How about actually practicing what you preach?

APT Executive Director Caitlin Sutherland credits the extreme inefficiencies at the airport to Buttigieg’s incompetence, noting that the large degree of flight cancellations could be easily attributed to his lack of focus and abundance of mismanagement.

“Every day Americans face flight [cancellations] and long wait times because Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has completely mismanaged air travel,” Sutherland declared.

Even more absurdly, despite his alleged obsession with forcing all Americans to use electric cars instead of gas-powered cars, Buttigieg is just fine with taking private jets for himself.

In which he never pays a penny.

“Yet, he gets to avoid all that by taking taxpayer-funded private jets to destinations with readily available commercial airline options. And for someone so holier-than-thou on reducing emissions, Buttigieg sure doesn’t seem to mind the pollution caused by his literal jet-setting. This is hypocrisy at its finest, and these troubling expenses to taxpayers must come under immediate scrutiny,” Sutherland added pointedly.

While the private jet usage is bad enough, his cavorting in Europe on a luxury vacation while rail workers are struggling to get an extra sick day off really demonstrates the brazen behavior of the Biden administration.

Senator Josh Hawley reamed Buttigieg for his behavior, noting that the rail workers likely would not be amused.

“Pete Buttigieg will take paid vacation in Europe for days on end but doesn’t think rail workers should get more than one day of sick leave. If rail workers showed up for work as rarely as Buttigieg does, the country would fall apart,” Hawley drawled.

“As rarely as Buttigieg does.” Hilarious. He did take two months of paternity leave after all, just in time to not deal with a huge backlog in the supply chain.

Buttigieg’s office, of course, remembers his luxury European vacation differently.

“As usual, while traveling on personal time he remained available and engaged on urgent issues, which in this case meant multiple calls with staff and stakeholders to work on the topic of rail labor negotiations,” Buttigieg’s office sniffed.

The Transportation Secretary’s office even had the gall to claim that Buttigieg’s efforts helped “successfully prevent a rail shutdown included dozens of calls and meetings between April and December.”

Thanks to Hawley, Buttigieg’s “hard word” on a luxury European holiday was exposed.

Hawley is certainly on a roll, despite the mainstream media’s best efforts to tear him down.

After all, he recently introduced a bill that stunningly received a unanimous vote in favor in the Senate.

And that was a vote in favor of national security and against TikTok.

“TikTok is a Trojan Horse for the Chinese Communist Party. It’s a major security risk to the United States, and until it is forced to sever ties with China completely, it has no place on government devices. States across the U.S. are banning TikTok on government devices. It’s time for Joe Biden and the Democrats to help do the same,” Hawley boomed.

For once, Democrats agreed.
