After experiencing a huge victory over the left during the midterm elections, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appears to show no signs of slowing down in his war against the erosion of liberty and destruction of the family.
From his staunch stances regarding anti-lockdown pandemic measures, alongside the passage of the Parental Rights Bill, DeSantis is truly delivering for Floridians, which is likely why the population of the state has exploded in recent years.
Fortunately, the state has remained red, in spite of the massive influx from the Northeastern region.
DeSantis already scored another recent triumph when Disney hastily restructured the upper echelons of its C-Suite level executives, reinstating former CEO Bob Iger after the company succeeded in losing its tax-exempt status … a loss that originates directly due to its failed battle against the Republican governor.
Apparently, attempting to force DeSantis (emphasis on “attempt”) to eliminate the Parental Rights Bill, which prevents kindergarten teachers from waxing poetically about transgender obsessions, wasn’t the smartest business move.
Aside from Disney, DeSantis has also taken aim at Big Tech companies, which are also known for their rather militant adherence to the left.
Just like Beijing likes them to be.
In fact, the subservience to Beijing is precisely what DeSantis shredded on Tucker Carlson.
The first time that people have openly risen up in several years against the dictatorship has been praised by many throughout the world … though Big Tech is apparently quietly working behind the scenes to limit the ability of the protestors to acquire what too many Americans have taken for granted for too long: freedom.
And, astonishingly, Apple is apparently preventing protestors from using AirDrop and other vital services that are necessary to spread the word … and the truth.
Prior to skewering Big Tech, DeSantis drew clear parallels between CCP policies and Biden’s desired policies.
“If you look what’s going on in China now, the CCP, they have been imposing these zero COVID lockdown policies. They have been doing it on and off for three years,” DeSantis began.
Funny enough, the European Union has long since abandoned absurd COVID measures, not even bothering to check vaccination or PCR test status for entry.
Meanwhile, Biden has proclaimed that COVID remains an emergency well into the early weeks of 2023. An “emergency” he just requested another $9.5B in funding for.
Where will the money really go? Hard to say … more “research” in Wuhan, perhaps?
DeSantis also zeroed in on Big Tech and its stunning support of the CCP.
“And you have people in China that are really engaged in a noble effort to protest which is basically Leninist rule,” DeSantis continued, “so, what is Apple doing with that? They are limiting the AirDrop function of the protesters. So they are serving basically as a vassal to the Chinese Communist Party.”
Horrible. Not to mention completely bizarre from a business sense.
After all, Chinese giant Huawei has shamelessly stolen Apple’s intellectual property and designs for years, going as far as to produce the “MateBook” instead of the MacBook (they look nearly identical, though the MateBook is a fraction of the price).
So, Apple decides to continue helping the nation that brazenly steals from it?
Something strange is going on …
DeSantis noted that Big Tech is not only terribly in China, but also right within the United States, especially when accounting for the rabid attacks on Musk.
Including Apple’s apparent willingness to remove Twitter from its app store, which is really quite astonishing, considering what it’s doing to help Beijing right now.
“Then, on the other hand, here in the United States, what are they doing? They are trying to get Elon Musk’s Twitter off the App Store, potentially, which would be a huge blow for free speech,” DeSantis declared.
Problematically, Apple is extremely powerful, and its decisions clearly impact quite a few different people. Not to mention entire nations.
World regions, really, and history will likely recall Big Tech as potentially one of the most beneficial, yet ultimately destructive, forces to impact human history.
“And so this is maybe the most powerful company in the entire world, certainly one of the most powerful companies in American history,” DeSantis continues, “they exercise more authority in some respects than even some governments do. And they’re using their authority to protect the CCP while also try to limit speech here in the United States.”
Scary. Almost makes one wonder where an “American” company’s real allegiance lies.
Possibly just to the almighty dollar (or almighty yuan?), which is likely the real reason that Apple has opted to stifle protestors in China.
Can’t threaten that golden goose for the company, no matter how many freedoms are smashed in the process.
Social media companies also operate in a largely wanton manner, which DeSantis also shreds.
“The social media companies get liability protection. And yet they turn around and they use that protection to marginalize voices they disagree with. So, I think, from the congressional perspective, though, they need to look at antitrust with these massive companies, because they are exercising massive amounts of power over our society,” DeSantis added pointedly.
Former President Trump tried to eliminate the power of Big Tech, though he was stymied at virtually every turn.
Little wonder, given how beneficial Big Tech has been in terms of instilling Democrats in power, not to mention a bunch of other suspiciously young world leaders, from Canada to New Zealand to Finland, and, now, to the United Kingdom, where an ultra-globalist, Rishi Sunak, is currently in charge.
Sunak’s ties to the United Kingdom are negligible at best, and his wife was busted for major tax fraud, but as long as he sings the globalist tune, he will be quite golden.
Awfully interesting, how world leadership has transformed at the same time nefarious Big Tech took off.
At least conservatives are aware of the danger, such as Senator Lindsey Graham.
Graham also echoed DeSantis’s remarks during an appearance on Fox News’s “America Reports,” observing that social media is out of control in general, and it should be subjected to greater regulation.
Since the government is so obsessed with regulating face masks for alleged protection from physical illness, one would think they should be just as obsessed, if not more so, with regulating out of control social media giants who absolutely promote intense societal sickness.
