To the surprise of no one, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared she would not seek Democrat leadership again, an announcement conveniently timed with the news regarding Republicans regaining control of the House.
However, while some conservatives may have sighed with relief following her announcement, they might want to avoid feeling too much relief.
After all, it is also crucial to keep in mind who intends to take Pelosi’s place.
Biden, for instance, would be replaced by Kamala Harris, which might be an even more frightening proposition, given her ardent allegiance to the far left.
On her part, Pelosi appears to have proffered her leadership post to a far left replacement of her own, namely House Democratic Conference Chair Hakeem Jeffries, who hails from none other than New York.
Rather typically elite move from coastal elitists. Who hail from the nation’s most expensive cities.
“Today, I write to humbly ask for your support for the position of House Democratic Leader as we once again prepare to meet the moment. Our Caucus must unify with purpose, communicate with discipline, legislate with precision and partner with the Biden administration to vigorously address the continuing challenges impacting our constituents,” Jeffries intoned.
Is he serious? “Communicate with discipline” and “legislate with precision?”
Who wrote his letter, some graduate student more obsessed with rhyme than reason?
Probably.
One thing is for sure: Jeffries’ politics certainly align with those of a woke graduate student majoring in gender studies, given how frequently he loved to openly proclaim the alleged “illegitimacy” of the Trump presidency … during Trump’s entire presidency.
For instance, in 2018, Jeffries felt compelled to use all caps to make his “point” regarding the president.
“The more we learn about 2016 the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes. America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE President in the Oval Office,” Jeffries declared.
Really, Mr. Jeffries?
And exactly what was “learned,” aside from the fact that the Clintons paid off a Russian asset to lie about Trump? Not to mention the fact that Trump was eventually exonerated by the Mueller report.
Jeffries kept the denial going in 2019, basically accusing Trump of everything that Hunter Biden has been resoundingly proven to be.
Which is perhaps why the Democrats have attempted to deflect like crazy.
“Is Donald Trump? … A. a legitimate President… B. a Russian Asset… C. an organized crime boss… D. a useful idiot. The American people deserve to know,” Jeffries brayed.
Actually, the American people deserve far-left militants staying off Twitter and, optimally, out of the media entirely, given the extent to which they are corrupting woke millennials and the even more woke Gen Z.
And, in 2020, Jeffries tripled down on his “illegitimate” remarks.
“History will never accept you as a legitimate president,” Jeffries asserted to Trump.
Funny. Seems history may remember a bizarre 2020 election far more than 2016.
One thing is for sure: Jeffries is no improvement over Pelosi, as crisply noted by GOP Representative James Comer.
“[Jeffries is] further to the left of Nancy Pelosi,” Comer remarked, noting that the lurch towards the far left is a key “problem with the Democrat Party.”
Even worse, it seemed that the far left constituted the only potential option for Democrat “leadership,” as the only other real challenger to Jeffires appeared to be Washington Representative Pramila Jayapal.
However, Jayapal has reportedly angled towards another term as chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus instead, apparently to combat “draconian” conservatives.
“As Chair of the CPC, I will put my energy toward ensuring Democrats are not only a critically important ‘opposition’ party to push back on draconian MAGA-Republican policies, but also a ‘proposition’ party, with a real vision that builds an even bigger movement to lift up poor people, working people, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and those who just need a leg up to thrive not just survive. That is what will help propel us to victory in 2024,” Jayapal proclaimed.
“A real vision.” Right.
One that has undoubtedly been drafted, revised, and ultimately approved by the globalist puppet masters who are becoming a bit too efficient at destroying the global reputation of the United States.
Not to mention making every effort to destroy the freedoms and liberties that truly do make the nation great.
