McCarthy Makes A Move On Pelosi’s Throne

Biden may be busy boasting that the Democrats have not lost nearly as many seats as expected, but current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is likely on edge.

Pelosi has been the most powerful Democrat in the chamber for close to twenty years, and she clearly delights in the level of authority she can apparently enjoy in that particular position.

Her husband’s investment accounts certainly enjoy her position, that’s for sure, given his curiously remarkable timing on the markets, which in turn has made the rich elitists even richer.

However, when considering the number of seats Republicans have gained in the house, it seems quite plausible that a Republican will finally be assuming control of the House once again.

One of the top contenders includes House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who has long opposed the radical Biden-Globalist agenda.

The California representative sent a letter to his GOP colleagues, underscoring the various ways in which his leadership would set the nation, once again, on a path towards greatness, rather than havoc and destruction.

“First, congratulations on your election in a critical and pivotal year. Over the past century, Republicans had flipped the House from Democrats just four times: 1946, 1952, 1994, and 2010. Only twice did that flip occur in four years or less. While a number of races remain outstanding, I can confidently report that we will join that list, build on our significant gains from last cycle, and achieve our goal of taking back the House,” McCarthy declared.

The walk down memory lane reveals the extent to which Democrats have long controlled the legislative process, which would explain much of the insanity dominating politics today.

“I am determined to ensure that this majority reaches its full potential. I will be a listener every bit as much as a Speaker, striving to build consensus from the bottom-up rather than commanding the agenda from the top-down. That means putting the right people in the right spots and harnessing the power of our entire conference,” McCarthy continued.

Imagine that. A House Speaker that actually listens.

Definitely a far cry from out of touch Pelosi, not to mention Biden, who apparently listens to the Easter Bunny for guidance.

McCarthy, however, is principally concerned with Americans, as evident in his commentary.

“We will begin and end each day with a singular focus: serving the needs of our fellow citizens. Their voice is now our vote – and we will not be afraid to push the envelope when it comes to delivering an economy that’s strong, a nation that’s safe, a future that’s built on freedom, and a government that’s accountable,” McCarthy added.

In other words, McCarthy calls for everything that Democrats are not, in particularl accountable.

They aren’t great fans of freedom either.

McCarthy is hardly the only Republican aiming to dethrone Ms. Pelosi, as House Minority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, who won 72.8 percent of the vote in his district, also sent a letter to his colleagues, imploring them for support.

“I have a proven track record of bringing together the diverse array of viewpoints within our conference to build consensus where others thought it impossible. Through conservative victories like the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, 21st Century Cures Act, CRAs to reverse radical Obama-era regulations, and trade deals like USMCA, we came together to enact serious conservative victories,” Scalise asserted, listing several accomplishments that more than warrant his place as a senior lawmaker.

Scalise also has a proven track record of surviving attacks from deranged leftists, who callously fired on a GOP baseball game.

“With this bold, conservative agenda in mind, I am asking for your support to be the next House Majority Leader. The American people deserve a House of Representatives that can move the agenda that was promised to them on the campaign trail. As your Majority Leader, I will work relentlessly to usher our vision through the House and show the country how conservative ideas can solve the problems that families are facing,” Scalise continued.

While both McCarthy and Scalise are vying for the top position in Congress, one reality is certain: Either representative would be a vastly superior alternative than Pelosi.
