Kanye West has angered Democrats for years due to his diehard support of Trump, which in turn has powerfully influenced a demographic that Democrats have long taken for granted: the Black voter.
After all, who can forget Biden’s rather arrogant proclamation that one “ain’t black” if they didn’t vote for him?
Such commentary doesn’t sit well with individuals who think for themselves, such as Kanye West.
And West has recently decided he’s had it with virtue signaling, woke corporations that fail to put their money where their mouth is by continuing to rely upon China, widely known for its human rights abuses, for much of their manufacturing operations.
As a result, West has decided to end his collaborations with both Gap and Adidas, in what will surely be a wakeup call to woke execs that believe they know best.
As reported by the Daily Wire, West declared, “this is the day of liberation right here. This is the day to not be just valued on my cash flow, to be valued on the equity that we bring.”
It should be noted that West uses the word “equity” in a far more persuasive, compelling manner than the standard Democrat usage of the word.
West is certainly not keen on the ways in which Gap eagerly ripped off his name while failing to account for his requests.
“[They] priced my stuff at like $200 and above their whole price point normally, and then did the exact [same] shirt for $20,” West said in disgust, “in the contract, they said they were going to do stores and they just ignored us about building stores … sometimes I would talk to the leaders and it was like I was on mute or something.”
That’s how elitists typically operate. All too eager to exploit from others when necessary for their various nefarious aims, yet all too insufficient when it comes to actually listening.
West also blasted Adidas for its dependence on Chinese manufacturing, which runs rather contrary to many of these corporations’ so-called mission and values.
“You know, we’ve seen the influence that we’ve had on two Fortune 500 companies. Also a lot of stuff they [Adidas] have commitments to China, and [we] wanted to do localized manufacturing, which is completely possible with some of the factories that I’m buying here in California, we can actually bring industry back to America,” West declared.
In other words, West believes more in American than greedy, woke corporations that take massive shortcuts and wonder why they end up with so many different issues in the supply chains later on.
Maybe they shouldn’t be so dependent on an authoritarian nation like China for their products.
And maybe they should believe more in America again, as West clearly does.
“I feel that in a lot of ways, Europe has been the head of prestige, with the luxury brands and luxury vehicles, and China has been the head of manufacturing,” West mused, “but America, we invented rock and roll, we are the most inventive. We are the youngest startup ever, America itself, so, you know, we invented Apple, we invented Ford, and now we have Yeezy here.”
Cheers to a famous rapper and business mogul who fully recognizes the value America has to offer, above all its potential.
“Everyone knows I’m the leader, I’m the king, right. So a king can’t live in someone else’s castle. A king has to make his own castle,” West proclaimed.
That’s right. Much in the same way Trump forged his MAGA path to bring the nation’s attention back to “America First,” West has indisputably done the same with his own forward march into the apparel industry.
In essence, West may well make American Manufacturing Great Again.
Much to the rage of woke celebrities who can’t handle West’s support of someone like Trump.
As reported by the New York Post, perpetual whiner John Legend, who is best known for crooning at Obama’s private parties, apparently felt compelled to end his friendship with West all because of West’s support of Trump.
Notice that West didn’t need to end his friendship with Legend over Legend’s effective worship of Obama.
Even more humorously, while ending his friendship, Legend also suggested West was one of the most authentic people he’s ever met.
“Like, [West has] been pretty upfront with his opinions, his struggles, all the things that he’s dealing with. And I think what you see with him is pretty much what you get,” Legend remarked.
Translation: Legend can’t handle reality, so he sequesters himself with other woke folks that perpetually pass on dealing with reality.
