The January 6 select committee hearings have continued in earnest, in spite of the questionable “facts” presented by allegedly key witnesses.
One of the most controversial witnesses of all includes former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who made a number of astonishing claims regarding the events of January 6.
These claims included the assertion that Trump allegedly tried to drive himself to the Capitol, as well as attempting to seize control of the presidential limousine, known as “The Beast,” in which he was being chauffeured.
However, Trump attests that he was not even in “The Beast” during the time in which Hutchinson claimed he was, which was further evidence of her lack of credibility.
In the aftermath of Hutchinson’s shocking testimony, which was littered with phrases designed to generate massive clickbait, Trump weighed in with disgust, remarking that Hutchinson’s testimony was clearly designed to entertain the “thugs” and “political hacks” comprising the committee.
“Can anyone even imagine the Unselect Committee, which was formed solely for the purpose of bringing down my ‘numbers,’ or worse, relying on … fake stories, already largely debunked, of a female scam artist, Cassidy Hutchinson?” Trump demanded.
The former president also noted that the former White House aide previously expressed a strong desire to continue on “Team Trump” long after January 6, and she allegedly became enraged when her desire to remain involved was met with limited enthusiasm.
Trump noted that many of his team members did not want Hutchinson anywhere near them following his tenure in the White House, especially given her widespread reputation for leaking and worse.
The irony of the January 6 committee is that it also consists of individuals who have long trumpeted arguable lies regarding Trump’s presidency, including collusion with Russia that has long since been disproven.
“Look at the people sitting on the Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs,” Trump asserted, “they are essentially the same lunatics that drove the Country ‘crazy’ with their lies and [fake] stories.”
