Singer Macy Gray is a breath of fresh air amid a sea of Hollywood lemmings, who largely serve as the high school dropout useful idiots the Dems have come to adore.
After all, most of the loudest celebrities depend upon social media platforms owned by militants like Mark Zuckerberg, and they have no issue at all singing for their supper to the impressionable masses.
Macy Gray, however, is clearly not enthralled by the mindlessness espoused by the left, in particular its insistence upon erasing women.
During a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Gray, unlike Biden’s most recent “politically correct” Supreme Court pick, had no issues at all defining women.
Nor did she have any issue with the hate she will inevitably receive for daring to embrace her identity as a woman.
“If I asked you what a woman is, what would you say?” Morgan queried,
Ironically, this question is quite similar to the question Senator Ted Cruz asked of Biden’s rather obviously misogynist Court pick, Kentanji Brown Jackson.
Jackson’s misogyny was on full display when she claimed she couldn’t define the word “woman,” despite the leftist media bragging about her becoming the “first black woman” to serve on the Court.
Curious that the same woman refuses to define the term “woman.”
Even more curiously, Gray gets what Jackson doesn’t: the truth.
“And I will say this, and everybody’s going to hate me, but as a woman, just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman. Sorry,” Gray declared.
Awesome! At last, a singer who isn’t afraid to be “cancelled.”
As if she needs the approval of a bunch of hate-filled wokes anyway, which is rather clear when Gray continues on to skewer the absurd attacks on women launched by none other than “Believe all women” Dems (at least, that was the party line when falsely accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault).
“I know that for a fact,” Gray asserted, “Like if you want me to call you a her, I will, because that’s what you want. But that doesn’t make you a woman, just ’cause I call you a her and just ’cause you got a surgery.”
Sure enough, Gray was promptly met with a sea of violent criticism on Twitter, with many comparing her to J.K. Rowling, who dared to point out the reality of what transgenderism truly is: destroying women, which in turn destroys the nuclear family.
Destruction of the nuclear family also constitutes a key goal of the despicable BLM, when it isn’t busy buying mansions in white neighborhoods with donations from gullible, CNN-brainwashed lemmings.
Bette Midler has also suffered from Twitter backlash for daring to stand up for women’s rights, as she clearly sounded the alarm on the dark direction the left was heading.
“WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives and even our name! They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators,’ and even ‘people with vaginas’! Don’t let them erase you! Every human on earth owes you!” Midler declared.
She better watch out, lest Twitter cancel her for “disinformation.”
In the meantime, she, along with Gray, are enduring a torrent of abuse.
“Sad to see #BetteMidler and #macygray joining the JK Rowling #TERF brigade. The fight for rights, anyone’s rights, can’t be won if we choose to deny the rights of some to elevate or compensate for the denial of rights of others.”
Oh please.
For starters, stop with the nonsense term “TERF.” For those unindoctrinated in the ever-changing liberal lexicon, TERF stands for the following:
Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist.
Yeah. Sounds like the brainchild of one of the many (idiot) “humanities” professors who appear to disavow a significant percentage of humanity’s identity – that being the identity of real women.
Furthermore, returning back to the hateful tweet re: Gray, Midler, and Rowling at hand, if anyone should be “compensated,” it should be the real female athletes whose years of hard work and dedication is being stolen by completely unscrupulous men who apparently can’t hack competing against other men.
So they destroy women’s dreams instead. How “progressive.”
Then again, it’s not just mindless, student debt-laden Twitter “activists” causing havoc, it’s apparently entire banks that have joined the woke brigade.
Halifax Bank, which is based in the United Kingdom, recently succeeded in losing a slew of customers over a rather absurd tweet:
“We strive for inclusion, equality and quite simply, in doing what’s right. If you disagree with our values, you’re welcome to close your account,” the bank announced on Twitter.
Warren Richman, a Twitter user, put Halifax in its place with a rather eloquently written, and rather accurate, response:
“Do you have the authority to say this? You pick a fight with the vast majority of people, and cancel those who see the virtue signaling for what it is. You turn business away for people who don’t buy into this nonsense. What an extraordinary hill to choose for a bank to die on.”
Unfortunately for the majority, Halifax also doubled down on its militant attitude by literally threatening customers with the police if they dared to display any form of “transphobic” attitude.
“We stand against discrimination and inappropriate behaviour in all forms, whether racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or ableist, regardless of whether this happens in our branches, offices, over the phone or online on our social media channels. Such action may include account closure or contacting the police if necessary,” the bank sneered.
Wow.
As if the UK didn’t have bigger issues to deal with, including hordes of migrants streaming in across the English Channel.
Not to mention, you know, the imminent threat of nuclear war. It’s a real shame liberals decide to go nuclear on conservatives instead.
Moreover, it’s hardly ardent conservatives disgusted by the bank’s antics: It’s also individuals who openly identify as gay.
These individuals, unlike transgender militants, happen to hate the fact that the woke clearly wish to destroy women.
One such individual includes Gareth Roberts, who has had an account with Halifax since 1988.
“I’m a homosexual man. I’m appalled by your adoption of this homophobic, woman-hating claptrap, and by your attitude to customers making perfectly reasonable objections to it,” Roberts remarked disgustedly.
One can only hope that Halifax, along with every other woke institution, goes under when the global recession hits.
