Democrat State Proposes School Segregation

Leftists truly do have a bizarre idea of improving inequities across society.

Especially when considering the joke of a report just released by the following state organization, which has an incredibly long-winded, utterly impractical name: California’s Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans.

Californian (and probably federal) tax dollars at work. Excellent!

This “task force” is apparently dedicated to all matters regarding reparations, as if the entire nation (barring the political elites and their billionaire bros) isn’t suffering tremendously at this moment in time.

Alas, California politicians apparently think continuous racial division is just what the troubled nation needs.

“American government at all levels, including in California, has historically criminalized African Americans for the purposes of social control, and to maintain an economy based on exploited Black labor,” the task force boomed.

And what absurd requirements the “task force” suggests for eliminating inequities.

First, there is the standard redistribution of land and wealth, which the task force deems to be appropriate.

Specifically, one proposal entails “[estimating] the value of Black-owned businesses and property in California stolen or destroyed through acts of racial terror, distribute this amount back to Black Californians, and make housing grants, zero-interest business and housing loans and grants available to Black Californians.”

“Acts of racial terror.” Guessing that BLM won’t be characterized as racial terrorists, though they most assuredly behave in such a way.

However, perhaps one of the most troubling demands of the so-called task force includes the demand for “funding for African American/American Freedmen owned and controlled K-12 schools, colleges and universities, trade and professional schools.”

In other words, California apparently wants taxpayer-funded segregation.

Or, in other words, a total reversal of the landmark 1954 Brown v Board of Education case, which resulted in making segregation illegal.

Yet here is California, wanting segregation all over again.

Oh, and the task force also demands “scholarships for Black high school graduates to cover four years of undergraduate education (similar to the G.I. Bill model) to address specific and ongoing discrimination faced in California.”

At least until they demand fully segregated universities, that is, though historically black colleges are already present all over the nation.

After all, those are the campuses the White House prioritizes for commencement addresses, in particular Kamala Harris, who does not appear to score the Ivy League addresses like Ms. Pelosi.

The task force’s report is available in all its gory detail here.

With California hellbent on segregating people based on race, it is not terribly surprising that even Oregon is starting to realize that Republicans may not be so bad after all.

Which would explain why Republican Christine Drazan has a slight lead over Democrat Tina Kotek.

“Governor Brown made the wrong decision when she chose a never-ending state of emergency and heavy-handed mandates. I opposed her mask and vaccine mandates and repeatedly urged her to repeal them. Oregonians understand how to make decisions for themselves and their families – they don’t need their state government telling them how to live their life,” Drazan declared.

Seriously. They don’t need racial segregation either.

Or, for that matter, racially motivated violent riots, a la BLM.

“Violent crime in Oregon is out of control, especially in Portland, which is experiencing an all-time high in murders. When police were being attacked, Kate Brown and Portland politicians ignored it,” Drazan continued, “under my administration, the days of treating police like criminals and criminals like victims will end.”

One can only hope for a mass awakening in November.
