On Sunday, Alejandro Mayorkas mimicked Vice President Kamala Harris by delivering a very similar message to hundreds of thousands of migrants barreling towards the United States: “Do not come.”
Mayorkas, who presently serves as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary, declared that the border “is not open” during an appearance on “State of the Union” on CNN over the weekend.
According to Mayorkas, illegal migrants are either “placed in immigration enforcement proceedings” or “expelled under the Title 42 authority.”
The DHS Secretary also insisted that migrants are removed “if they do not have a valid claim under [U.S.] law to remain.”
“So the border is not open,” Mayorkas continued to insist, in spite of the Biden administration’s repeated references to mass amnesty, as demanded by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Mayorkas also added that illegal migrants should avoid “[placing] their lives at risk in the hands of smugglers who exploit their lives [merely to] profit.”
“Do not come,” Mayorkas added again with emphasis, mirroring Kamala’s appearance and mannerisms from months earlier in Central America.
Biden’s DHS Secretary also added that the anticipated surge of 18,000 migrants would “strain [the U.S.] system.”
According to Mayorkas, the Biden administration has a plan for “a regional approach to what is a regional challenge.”
“We need countries to the south to manage their borders,” Mayorkas declared pompously, conveniently displacing the blame from the Biden administration onto beleaguered Central American governments struggling with the massive onslaught of migrants that has ensued ever since Biden assumed control of the White House.
“This is not a phenomenon that the United States experiences alone,” Mayorkas continued, adding that Nicaraguans comprise nearly 2 percent of the population in Costa Rica, while “1.8 million Venezuelans [are] in Colombia.”
“We’re seeing migration because of challenges that are not restricted to this area,” Mayorkas continued, “they are global.”
In another interview with Fox News on Sunday, Mayorkas reaffirmed his aversion to accountability, declaring that the federal government allegedly has “a handle” on an immigration crisis that has shattered multiple records.
Mayorkas also insisted that the FBI and the nation’s “entire enforcement in intelligence enterprise” has “a handle” on immigration, despite intelligence agencies routinely making the headlines for ghastly diversity and inclusion recruitment commercials, CRT training, or other likeminded exercises that are generally devoid of value for traditional intelligence endeavors.
Mayorkas also claims that the White House is not letting migrants “loose” in spite of multiple chartered flights dropping migrants off at various locations around the nation, alongside video taped footage of migrants being set “loose” in Washington, D.C. after arriving on chartered buses from Texas.
