Of all the leaders in Congress, perhaps none other than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi serves as the greatest inspiration for AOC.
Even though Pelosi and AOC may appear to fight in public, it’s quite clear that they act identically in private.
The only difference is Pelosi has decades of experience in the swamp, whereas AOC has just a few years.
And what exactly does such a different entail?
Well, AOC can apparently gallivant at the Met Gala wearing a “Tax the Rich” dress designed by a tax-dodging designer (sadly true), as well as make several heavily filtered appearances across social media and mainstream media platforms, which are really one and the same these days.
Pelosi, on the other hand, experiences vastly greater perks, including staggering expenditures on private jets.
Needless to say, repeated private jet usage may be expected from the billionaires that Pelosi claims to hate, but she curiously lives quite similarly to all those evil billionaires.
The difference, of course, is that Pelosi, unlike Trump, creates nothing.
Aside from a bunch of bleeding heart commentary, that is.
Like below, when she claimed that “religion” served as a motivation for addressing serious environmental concerns.
“For me, it’s a religious thing,” Pelosi intoned, “I believe this is God’s creation, and we have a moral obligation to be good stewards.”
“Good stewards.” Right.
Pelosi also extended the call for stewardship to the rest of Congress, all of whom are not exactly known for their environmentally friendly ways of living.
“We must face the existential threat of our time: the climate crisis,” Pelosi said in January 2019 in her opening address to Congress. “The entire Congress must work to put an end to the inaction and denial of science that threaten the planet and the future.”
In other words: Rules for thee, not for me.
As a recent Fox News report has revealed the extent to which Pelosi has not exactly been an optimal “steward” of the environment.
“According to campaign filings with the Federal Election Commission, Pelosi’s campaign paid a Virginia-based private aviation provider, Advanced Aviation Team, over $437,000 between October 2020 and December 2021 and over $65,000 to Clay Lacy Aviation, a California-based private jet provider,” the network reported.
So, Pelosi spends $502,000 on private jets, probably quadruple her official salary, while ordering all American to wear masks on overcrowded planes, not to mention ordering all Americans to get whatever number of boosters her pharmaceutical masters tell her to say.
However, to ensure that she appears “relevant” to clueless millennials, Pelosi is sure to wax on poetically about the environment, to the extent that apparently carbon emissions are more terrible than egregious human rights violations.
Just consider her comments on China.
“With their military aggression in the South China Sea, with their continuation of genocide with the Uyghurs in Xinjiang province, with their violation of the cultural… religious priority of Tibet, with their suppression of democracy in Hong Kong and other parts of China as well – they’re just getting worse in terms of suppression,” Pelosi declared.
You don’t say, Ms. Speaker. China has been like that for quite some time, and it’s a real shame you couldn’t set your feelings about Trump aside in order to work with him, rather than against him, as far as China is concerned.
“Having said all of that… we have to work together on climate … Climate is an overriding issue and China is a leading emitter in the world – U.S. too, developed world too – but we must work together. We have to have a level of communication – whether it’s COVID, whether it’s terrorism or whether it’s climate,” Pelosi continued.
Hey, as long as Pelosi can take her private jets to all her lectures about climate emissions, then she’ll probably wax on about the environment indefinitely …
Until she herself practices what she preaches, that is.
