Senator Rand Paul and Dr. Anthony Fauci have been sparring for months, though the former tends to have a vastly greater grasp of the “science” than the nation’s supposed medical leader.
In fact, Fauci has been so averse to vaccine alternatives that Paul has levied his most serious criticism yet, which is that none other than Fauci is responsible for thousands of senseless COVID-related deaths.
“I would venture to say that thousands of people die in our country every month now from COVID because [Fauci] deemphasized the idea that there are therapeutics.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Most people would “venture to say” that Fauci is also responsible for the pandemic in the first place, courtesy of his little gain-of-function research that took place at none other than the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Which would explain why Fauci violently opposed Trump’s theories regarding the virus’s origins in 2020, only to somewhat demonstrate consensus with Trump in 2021 … after Trump left office.
Paul also called out Fauci’s general obsession with vaccines, noting that the medical director attempted to create a vaccine for AIDS as well.
However, it is rather clear that a vaccine for AIDS did not go as planned, which Paul also notes.
“I think Fauci is of the philosophy that vaccines are incredibly successful and are the way to go versus therapeutics, for example. So with regard to AIDS, he was involved as the AIDS epidemic came up, he wanted to develop a vaccine …
There’s nothing wrong with that. He wanted to develop a vaccine. Vaccines can be great for polio or smallpox or wonderful. It didn’t actually work for AIDS.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
While the vaccine for AIDS doesn’t work, monoclonal antibodies for COVID do, which Paul indicates.
“Recent data showed that monoclonal antibody treatment cuts the risk of death and hospitalization by 70% in high-risk patients and reduces the chance of infection among a household by 80% … Monoclonal antibodies have only just begun to be mentioned by the mainstream media, and misinformation still plagues government bureaucrats when discussing this scientifically-backed treatment.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Curiously, the Biden administration has downplayed antibody treatment, in spite of the huge success that Governor DeSantis has had with the early prevention treatment centers in Florida.
In fact, the Biden administration has not only downplayed the importance of monoclonal antibody treatments, certainly relative to vaccines, anyway, it is now working to undermine DeSantis’s present efforts in the Sunshine State.
In a letter to Xavier Becerra, the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo revealed that the Biden administration is going out of its way to upset DeSantis’s ability to take care of Floridians.
“On August 12, 2021, Governor DeSantis announced a rapid increase in the availability of monoclonal antibody treatment therapies across the state … In a matter of weeks, the state had 25 monoclonal antibody sites up and running – leading the nation in widespread early COVID-19 treatment availability …
Shortly after Florida’s 100,000 treatment milestone, and without any advanced noticed, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a dramatic reduction in the number of monoclonal antibodies to be allocated to the state of Florida.” [Source: Twitter]
In other words, the Biden administration can’t stand the thought of a conservative Republican easily outwitting the hapless federal government in its response to COVID, which is precisely why the admin is doing what it does best: destroying the hard work of real patriots.
Ladapo also indicated that the Biden administration is “actively preventing” distribution of these antibodies, which is a rather dubious action to take … assuming that the Biden administration really wants the pandemic to end, that is.
Then again, who knows how deep and dark the waters between big pharma and the government have become, and something suggests that vaccine-promoting pharmaceutical companies are less enthusiastic about monoclonal antibodies and even less enthusiastic about natural immunity.
Meanwhile, New York and Washington D.C. currently hold the dubious honor of the highest number of COVID cases in the nation, in spite of simultaneously possessing some of the strictest vaccine requirements in the nation.
For instance, “fully vaccinated” in D.C. apparently now entails having a booster shot as well, though that booster seems strangely ineffectual in preventing the rampant spread of COVID throughout the swamp.
However, any day now, Fauci will likely recommend a fourth booster shot by the spring in order to be “fully vaccinated,” perhaps followed by a fifth booster in the summer and a sixth booster next winter … all while doing his best to disavow natural immunity and early prevention.
