Biden Turns His Back On Reporters — Proves Freedom Of The Press Means Nothing To Him

Oops, he did it again.

That’s right, Biden just turned his back anew on freedom of the press, to the extent that reporters are now openly pleading for Biden to answer their inquiries.

After all, given that Biden just met with Xi, it seems kind of reasonable to expect that reporters might have questions.

It also seems kind of reasonable that Biden would actually engage with reporters, rather than bloviate on endlessly with words that someone else wrote.

“I want you to know how grateful I am to serve as your president … And I promise you that I’ll never stop working to address your family’s needs …

And together we’re going to face challenges. We’re going to face them honestly. And that we’ll keep building this economy around hardworking folks who built this country. Happy Thanksgiving and may God bless you and may God protect our troops.” [Source: Fox News]

Biden needs to get a better ghostwriter.

First off, no one doubts how “grateful” Biden (even more so Hunter) must be for the presidency, but the whole bit about “never stop working to address your family’s needs?”

Guess what, Biden: No one “needs” thousands of jobs killed or borders opened, nor do they “need” empty shelves and sky-high energy prices.

For that matter, they don’t “need” chaos, divisiveness, and endless race-baiting: What they need is stability and security.

Neither of which is a prize value amongst Democrats.

However, even the most stalwart of media representatives are tiring of Biden’s deliberate distance from the press, and, by default, from freedom of the press, given the rather brazen lack of transparency Biden is demonstrating.

For instance, CBS News Reporter Steven Portnoy openly pleaded with Biden to answer their questions as Biden turned his back and walked away.

Judging from Biden’s performance over the past several months, probably never.

For instance, on October 14, Fox News anchor John Roberts remarked that Biden sailed off without acknowledging the press.

However, perhaps Biden has been ordered not to take questions from the press at all, after a few noticeable guffaws this summer.

In August, Biden informed Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacobs that he would take questions even though he isn’t “supposed to,” though he promptly reverses course when she begins to inquire about Afghanistan.

“I’m not supposed to take any questions but go ahead … I’m not gonna answer on Afghanistan now.” [Source: Fox News]

Biden then strode away after his forceful declarations regarding Afghanistan.

Worst of all, he actually began his frightening press appearance by declaring he was following instructions.

“Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell from NBC.” [Source: White House]

So, the President of the United States apparently receives “instructions” on how to deal with the press. Written out instructions, no less, that he actually takes with him while interfacing with reporters.

Imagine Trump being “instructed” to call on someone from the press first.

Actually, imagine Trump even having the luxury of calling on someone from the press in the first place, given that they generally assailed Trump with accusations framed as questions.

Most of all, imagine Trump needing to write down so much in advance of making any public appearance or interfacing with anyone from the press whatsoever.

Oh wait! Trump does not have to do that much in advance because his mental acuity is on an entirely different planet than that of Biden’s.

Speaking of mental acuity, Biden delivered yet another blunder during the same press conference yesterday, notably when he read a part of the teleprompter that definitely was not meant to be read.

“Because of the actions we’ve taken, things have begun to change … End of quote.” [Source: Fox News]

“End of quote,” indeed. Nice job reading that one out loud.

Par for the course for a president that turns his back on a free press …
