Looks like Emperor Newsom may have (another) problem after his most recent tyrannical move.
Especially since the most recent tyranny involves K-12 public school students.
Just consider the rather casual announcement at the start of October, straight from the office of (illegitimate) Governor Newsom.
“After implementing first-in-the-nation school masking and staff vaccination measures, California becomes the first state to announce plans to require student vaccinations – adding the COVID-19 vaccine to list of vaccinations required for school, such as the vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella …
Students will be required to be vaccinated for in person learning starting the term following FDA full approval of the vaccine for their grade span (7-12 and K-6).”[Source: State of California]
Would that be the same FDA that just witnessed two major resignations from top FDA leadership over the Biden administration’s highly polarizing politicization of the pandemic?
After all, these FDA officials made no secret of why they intended to resign: They made it explicitly clear that they did not appreciate the Biden administration approving booster shots before they did.
Paul Offit, a member on the FDA’s advisory committee, openly observed the discrepancy between the FDA processes and the Biden administration’s highly politicized processes.
“[The booster plan] was the administration’s booster plan; it wasn’t the FDA’s booster plan. The administration has kind of backed themselves up against the wall a little bit here.” [Source: The New York Post]
So what does the Biden administration predictably do after “kind of” backing itself into a corner?
Arbitrarily pass a mass vaccine mandate for the vast majority of American employers, and trust that highly leftist governors, like Mr. Newsom, will continue the tyranny via attacking the public school system with vaccine mandates.
Which is precisely what Newsom not only did, but brazenly “justified.”
“The state already requires that students are vaccinated against viruses that cause measles, mumps, and rubella – there’s no reason why we wouldn’t do the same for COVID-19. Today’s measure, just like our first-in-the-nation school masking and staff vaccination requirements, is about protecting our children and school staff, and keeping them in the classroom.” [Source: State of California]
No reason? The FDA officials that resigned may say otherwise … and they would know far more “science” than Newsom.
Then again, Newsom defies his own COVID orders on repeated occasions, so it’s fairly clear that even he doesn’t believe in the pseudoscience his administration shamelessly promotes.
And parents have had it.
Which is precisely why Tess Van Dusen played a key role in organizing mass walkouts across the state of California, wherein students will ditch school with their parents’ blessing in order to protest a highly intrustive vaccine mandate.
Van Dusen made the purpose of the walkouts abundantly clear, including the additional contingency plans that parents have in mind if Newsom refuses to back down from his orders.
“We’re fighting for the freedom to make the medical choices that are best for our children. We are fully prepared to pull our kids from public school and hire our own teaching staff if that’s what it takes. We do not co-parent with the government.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Other parents are fully in favor of Van Dusen’s approach.
For instance, Babe Prieto of Sacramento has indicated that the walkouts may grab the elitist governor’s attention.
“We want them to know that we’re serious about not being forced to vaccinate our children.” [Source: OANN]
Amy Smith, another parent, also cleverly turned the Democrats’ own words against them.
“The parents make the choices for medical freedom for their children and that we have bodily autonomy … It’s my body, my choice and so, we just hope that the school district hears the parents and know that there is an overwhelmingly amount of parents who are not happy with this mandate.” [Source: OANN]
Furthermore, Phil Johnson, a biology teacher who clearly has a conscience, was even more dire in his own warnings.
“This mandate, especially in kids, is a complete government overreach and Governor Newsom is playing politics with our children.” [Source: OANN]
One can only hope that the mass walkouts may grab Newsom’s attention, especially if the walkouts persist to a degree that funding is threatened.
After all, if one thing is guaranteed to get Democrats’ attention (aside from an opportunity for a blatant power grab), it’s money …
