Freedom-Loving Governors Face Federal Crackdown

When the Biden administration isn’t busy bungling the border or engaging in the most disastrous withdrawal in the nation’s history, it apparently entertains itself by assailing Governor Abbott and Governor DeSantis.

For instance, just consider Biden’s rather obvious barbs towards both governors during yet another speech on COVID, the virus he’s failed to eradicate in spite of his campaign “promises.”

However, according to Biden’s it’s simply the GOP governors’ fault.

“We’ve made enormous progress against the virus through the summer. And now we put ourselves in a strong position to battle this Delta variant. That’s why the actions I proposed on vaccines last week are so critical …

We’re facing a lot of pushback, especially from some of the Republican governors. The governors of Florida and Texas are doing everything they can to undermine the life-saving requirements that I’ve proposed.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Would those be the same “life-saving requirements” that are routinely ignored by the likes of Obama, not to mention the literal millions (!) storming the border this year?

Crickets …

Biden was angry enough at Abbott and DeSantis for refusing to bow down to non-science mask mandates, and he also attempted to screw up the ability of both governors to receive antibody treatments, which are based on science.

Now he’s likely to be really angry about the move that both governors have taken a rather firm stance against vaccine mandates, particularly Abbott.

Abbott made his thoughts regarding both the vaccine and vaccine mandates abundantly clear:

“The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, and our best defense against the virus, but should remain voluntary and never forced.”[Source: Newsmax]

Absolutely.

Which is precisely why many Europeans are protesting, including protests openly against Biden, though CNN appears to have ignored these protests like it ignores virtually everything else of value.

Abbott also fully elaborated the ways in which the vaccine will not be forced, noting that zero organizations in Texas, public or private, have the authority to mandate vaccines.

“No entity in Texas can compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine by any individual, including an employee or a consumer, who objects to such vaccination for any reason of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19. I hereby suspend all relevant statutes to the extent necessary to enforce this prohibition.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Furthermore, Abbott also blasted the vaccine mandate for what it really is: another effort to dramatically weaken state authority.

“[In] yet another instance of federal overreach, the Biden Administration is now bullying many private entities into imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates, causing workplace disruptions.” [Source: The Daily Wire]

Too bad that Biden isn’t quite sure how to deal with governors that actually follow the law, including not only Abbott, but also DeSantis.

“We must protect the jobs of Floridians and preserve the ability of Floridians to make their own decisions regarding what shots to take.” [Source: OANN]

Needless to say, the White House isn’t very happy about American adults making their own decisions, and the perpetually enraged press secretary Psaki has already threatened a federal crackdown of both Texas and Florida for daring to demonstrate individual state autonomy.

“We know that federal law overrides state law. I would note that earlier when we put out our guidance on the president’s announcement about mandates several weeks ago, it made clear that again, as I said earlier, requirements are promulgated pursuant to federal law and supersede any contrary state or local law or ordinance.” [Source: OANN]

So, in other words, Psaki is openly threatening a federal crackdown targeted specifically at GOP governors.

Ironically, even a major event in California is now ridding itself of the vaccine requirement, which leads one to wonder just how successful the Biden administration won’t be in telling Abbott and DeSantis what to do …
