Trump Thrills Crowds Over The Weekend

Over the weekend, Donald J. Trump, the 45th American President, and his son, Don Trump Jr., served as commentators at the Saturday night boxing match that occurred between Vitor Belfort and Evander Holyfield.

Trump proved to be wildly popular with the crowd, receiving enormous cheers of support, just before he began commenting on the fight.

“This is an honor to be with you!” Trump proclaimed, “What a great evening.”

Not only did Trump show excitement about the upcoming fight, but he also expressed love for the nation.

“I think you’re gonna see an incredible fight,” Trump continued, “we love our country, we love our country. Thank you very much.”

The match occurred between 44-year-old Belfort and 58-year-old Holyfield over the weekend on Saturday, which was the 20th anniversary of the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. During the fight, Holyfield suffered a knockout in the first round, and he was unable to land a punch on Belfort throughout the duration of the fight.

Holyfield and Trump are long-term friends, which is one of the reasons why Trump was interested in commentating the fight.

Trump remarked that he’s been “close to [Holyfield],” adding that he’s been with him throughout “some incredible times in his career.”

He also admitted to seeing Holyfield in times that were less than ideal, though Holyfield ultimately “came out of it.”

“He’s a great guy,” Trump declared, as well as “a great, great fighter.”

During a press conference on Thursday, Trump, who is 75, was asked what the outcome would be if he were to engage in a boxing match with 78-year-old Joe Biden.

“I think Biden would go down within the first few seconds,” Trump quipped.
