Top Democrats Pick Sides — And It Sure Isn’t America’s

Looks like Ilhan Omar becomes a lot more passionate about the Taliban when she’s comparing the terrorist organization to the United States.

However, in light of the fact that the Taliban is currently killing women and children, as well as any Afghanis who dared to provide assistance to the West over the past 20 years, the Squad has fallen deathly silent.

Which is quite surprising, even for the virulent Squad.

At minimum, one would think they’d pay at least lip service to Afghani women and children, like they’ve done for virtually everything else. Then again, apparently such lip service doesn’t serve their rhetoric, not to mention the warped view that the United States is somehow the same as the Taliban.

Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), however, called out the dangers facing women now.

“You know who is really in danger right now is women … Women in Afghanistan for the first time ever have been able to go to school, do things that, you know, a normal human being gets to do. In Afghanistan, women don’t get that opportunity, but they have been given that opportunity with our being in that country and starting schools, and all of that. Now that has all gone south.” [Source: Breitbart]

Tuberville also called the Squad out for its rather abysmal silence on the protection of women in Afghanistan, considering they were full of things to say when Israel dared to defend itself earlier in the year against terrorist attacks.

“And I have not heard one word from all of these women in ‘The Squad’ in Congress saying anything about protecting the women of Afghanistan. You know, they’re closed-mouthed right now. It doesn’t fit their narrative. People ought to be sick of this. They really should be. But we’ll work through this. Politicians will talk their way out of it and really probably won’t anybody be held accountable.” [Source: Breitbart]

Sadly, while not one word was heard from the Squad, a whole lot of idiocy was heard from UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who apparently thinks “strongly worded statements” are enough to make the Taliban think twice about harming women and children.

“We are hearing from people in Afghanistan that they are getting threats from the Taliban, and we have expressed in no uncertain terms here at the United Nations through a very strongly worded press statement from the Security Council that we expect the Taliban to respect human rights, including the rights of women and girls …

We have also indicated that they have to be respectful of humanitarian law and that we do not expect to see that Afghanistan will become a safe haven for terrorists. But, again, it is not their words that we will hold them to. It is their actions that we will be watching.”[Source: Fox News]

Well then. “Strongly worded statements” will surely make the revenge-obsessed Taliban think twice before hurting women and children. Not.

Really Ms. Thomas-Greenfield? That is the U.S. UN Ambassador?

Quite clearly, the Taliban knows the world is “watching.” Heck, they’re getting free publicity through Twitter and CNN. They also know that Biden won’t do anything, aside from apparently condone “strongly worded” statements.

If that wasn’t bad enough, Ms. Nancy Pelosi apparently thinks it’s just fine for the Taliban to have taken over who knows how much U.S. military equipment, which she predictably blames on the Afghani army, rather than Biden’s rather abrupt withdrawal.

“This is what happens when you withdraw … Some stuff is left there. It was thought that would be used. It was hoped that would be used by the Afghan military to defend its own country … The fact that it did not and could not … was all more the reason for us to leave.” [Source: Fox News]

So, in other words, Pelosi has yet again taken up the untenable position of defending the indefensible when it comes to Biden, including one of the worst debacles ever witnessed by NATO.

One can only imagine what will continue unfolding in the coming days …
